LPG help

just now i have half my house running on electic heating and bottom of my house on lpg gass central heating, i applied for a grant for central heating and been told i would only get grant if i went all LPJ, my worry is the to heat the house with lpj gas would be far more than my cenral heating run by electic just now i pay £145 a month for heating and electric and £45 a week to heat the bottom of the house with LPJ bottled gas,

could some one tell me how much it would roughly cost to heat a old cottage with four bedrooms and two sitting rooms please.

No-one can cost heating an old cottage with 4br and 2 sitting rooms without knowing lots more (usage, insulation, etc, etc) but you can use the figures from Notts Energy Partnership here to estimate what you'd be paying if all LPG.

There are lost of posts discussing the wisdom of changing to LPG/oil/biofuel/starlight/ etc - some links from here !

I would definately look at the cost of having an LPG tank installed rather than bottles to see any savings there?

At one time I know some companies would install tanks for free to get business, but not sure of the situation at present!
