cancelling virgin package

im clearing some debt so decided can do without virgin (vplus)package at home, will they come and take the box or will i keep it and be able to get the freeveiw channels through it?

the reason i ask is been in this house nine years and always had sky/virgin from day one but neighbour reckon the ariel isnt up to much so dont want have to buy one as this will defeat the object.

or any other ideas would be great

No, it's VM's property and they will request it back at the end of the contract, or bill you for it.
You can't get Freeview through it anyway, it is a terrestial service, no cable, for that you need an aerial and a Freeview tuner.

The connection will also be disconnected in the street cabinet as well to free up the port for new users & the box will be locked so nothing will work on it.If you don't return the box,you'll be billed up to £250 depending on the type of box.
