Hi Mark and Welcome,
Just before my DMP was about to start, I went onto all my CC provider's on line and removed as many telephone numbers as I could and where a number was mandatory, I just made one up and it seemed to work for us.
Your creditors need a way of contacting you but you can request everything in writing.:o
Take care

Hi Mark and well done for getting started with your DMP.
I did exactly the same as Ellie says and it also seemed to work. If I ever have to call a creditor I dial 141 before the number in case they can see my number on their system and when they say they need my number 'as their records don't show one on file' I say I don't have one and am using a payphone to call them. That seems to do the trick. I get a lot of letters but I can handle that, it was the thought of them calling constantly or when I had visitors that filled me with dread.
Good luck with everything and keep in contact to let us know how it's going.

Thanks for the info Ian i have wrote to callcredit and experian asking for clarification on this one, as different creditors show different things on your file and callcredit did say in another conversation that when the default fell off the file ALL data including the settlement info did too. cheers Stuh0

Hi All, Was not to sure where to post this but i have just spoken to RMA Resolve who are sorting our American express we have come to an agreement for a F&F on this account at about 45% which is a fair result but they also said they would only place a "settled" marker on my credit file and not "satisifed" they also commented this "settled" marker will stay on my credit file until 2019 but the account would be closed? This is defaulted which the default drops off in July 2013 will all the other info i have mentioned above also disappear?? Sorry but this is confusing me now! Many Thanks Stuh
The default and all details of the account will drop off in July 2013. Including any settlement marker.

Hi all,
Can somebody help me?
I started DMP with CCCS few months ago. Most of my creditor froze the interest except for one or two. I have a huge debt with Natwest for loan and overdraft. I have paid around 2-3k on my personal loan interest but after the DMP started, my current balance with them is now almost or over the amount I borrowed since they continue to charge the interest. I have send them a letter if they can reconsider stopping the interest just to help me with my financial difficulty, but to no avail. They just sent me an automated letter not answering my request. I have contacted CCCS to ask for advise about this and they told me to write a complaint to Natwest.
Am I in the position to make a complaint? (I am the debtor who didn't fulfill the credit agreement). Surely, this isn't helping me with my finances as I am paying and lowering my other debts but because of a huge debt with Natwest, a big chunk of my monthly DMP repayment goes back to the interest with Natwest.
If I am in the position to make a complaint, can somebody give me a template of the letter that I can send them.
I am thinking that after 6 months of DMP with CCCS, I don't think my DMP is working. I am certain that IVA is not an option as 75% of my debt is with Natwest and I am sure they will decline my IVA application, so my next resort will be to go into bankruptcy. Please help as I am really confused of what to do and which way to go through.
Thank you.0 -
Yes you are in a position to complain, i'm sure Natwest subscribe to the banking code, which says something about not putting people further into debt when they're in difficulty, you've done nothing wrong by being in debt,
i'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will be along in a while to tell you exactly how to complain.
why don't you think your DMP is working?LBM 2 and the OH is onboard sept 12, DMP will start on the 1st November, DFD who cares as longs as it comes:)
1 year down 5 to go and now under 30k and 10% paid off :beer:0 -
I got a PPI recalim yesterday which was paid into my defunct Lloyds account, paying off my overdraft. Should I ring Stepchange to tell them this, as I was paying off the overdraft as part of my DMP, or should I just adjust the balance owing on the website? Will it involve lots of re-jigging with the other creditors? Im worried that this will cause lots of trouble.
thanks xSealed Pot no 20110
