  • Thanks for that Pinot. Can I ask, do you use the SAR route for both? E.g. can I try and kill these two birds with one SAR stone?!

EN, as you say, onwards and upwards. You'll feel great relief soon enough and you'll look on those bad days and be pleased to see the back of them.

Sorry not been around much, work tough this month.

Just to add to the schedule of repayments via % contractual amount or % balance...... I did query this with CCCS in my early days as I couldn't understand the proportions. I was told it was tied into the issue that if you just went on balance then it would be unfair to the creditors that were supporting reduced or frozen interest schemes.

In my view one of the downsides to DMP is the informality of the arrangement. I think we should sign a new CCA guaranteeing the rate etc... but what do I know?!

In the interim, thank crunchie its Friday. Hope everyone keeping their heads above the water.

  • hi all thank goodness its friday been away with work all week so expenses have racked up need to get them in. Also while away got a letter from Halifax with statement statement shows new DMP arrangement as minimum payment due.. fine. But have applied full interest which will mean that the DMP wont cover all the interest. Have written to them twice with two months token payments asking to reduce/freeze interest. Will do one more time and by next month if they are still applying interest ( given by then they will be receiving the DMP payment) will write to FOS. Annoying as they have stopped fees on OD and Barclays have stopped on their card. Have an HBOS loan too but as dont get a statement from them monthly not entirely sure what theyre going to do as havent had anything from them on this yet.

anyway need to check my bank account now as travelling will have taken a hit.

Hope everyones having a good Friday.

  • Hi All,

Got my first default letter from Santander for a dormant Overdraft.

Just wondering as it is an overdraft that is not over it's limit can they actually default me as there are no terms regarding minimum monthly payments. For 12 months I haven't paid anything to it, now I am paying £12 a month via SC they are defaulting me.

Not concerned by the default, sooner the better but just unsure if they should be doing it or not.

    Thanks

Thanks to everyone on the DMP forum, and to SC for helping me out of this huge hole.

I've successfully claimed back my charges (and interest) from Creation Finance for the charges they applied when going over the credit limit and for late payment

Credited to account, so balance has dropped more. Yay!

    Well Done :T

Creation are also one of my creditors who have not yet responded to the DMP offer from StepChange - can you tell me a little more about your experiences with them?
