Looking forward to hearing about the casserole.

I have to say it was absolutely scrummy. Packed it with lots of veg so plenty left over for tomorrow which is great as I have to work late. I bought the slow cooker from Aldi in the end. It is a really good size and the pot bit comes out and is nice enough to use as a serving dish for those posh dinners:D

    Really glad you enjoyed GUO

It's addictive. I am still amazed at the flavour you get out of cheap ingredients. It would be my dessert island steal. To be fair it was a toss up between that and Denzil Washington but I guess he could always carry it in for me so that combined package could count as my one chosen item. :)

Have a good start to the week all

I'm taking my kids to church today to pack boxes of Christmas treats for unprivelidged kids on behalf of Samaritans.:A I'm really looking forward to it and it will hopefully teach them something about appreciating what they have. :) I don't have money to donate to charity so this is my way of helping them. The sad thing is that when I did have money I never really gave them a thought. :o Shame on me.
  • HSBC have just frozen my interest! :money::j:beer:

One year in, and a stroppy letter from me, and they've frozen it for a year! I am so happy I have just done a little dance!!:rotfl:

I think that is a lovely idea. One year I volunteered to help with Christmas lunches for elderly people in a local church centre. We all had a great time and they were very impressed that I knew the words to lots of their sing-a-long songs, thanks to my mum and gran singing them to me :D

Yes time is one thing I can donate every now and again and it's just nice to help someone else for a change. The kids were fighting over a jigsaw this morning with a box full of them nearby. That's just one of around a dozen plastic toy boxes full. So I made them watch the Samaritans you tube video of the kids that the boxes are for. They've been a lot better behaved since!

Fantastic. I didn't think HSBC had it in them. Do you mind me asking how much you still owe?
  • I owe around £1442 to HSBC - I pay approx £75 a month, of which £30 is taken as interest. Over a year of payments (so over £750) only £300 (ish) has come off my balance. But now it will start clicking down a lot quicker :D
