Well done on moving forward on DMP.
Your calls will be in vain.... they are not to be trusted.
BUT
There are things on your side..... You need to send them the template for your dmp (loads on here and national debtline site) You need to make sure you have a seperate paragraph about no calls, only contact in writting and if they do not pay heed to that you will report them without doubt to the FOS. Send the letter registered post and also make reference to that in the letter.
Im sure you arent the only person at work worried about this. Just refuse to go through security details on the phone, tell the preditors to address you in writting and put the phone down.
If it happens apologise to work, say you know work is your priority and you are taking steps to make it clear you are not to be contacted at work.
Let us know how you get on.

Hi HH, sorry been working late shift but thanks v much for your reply, hopefully they won't make my life a living hell for the next few weeks0 -

Is there one person or an office in work who is responsible for answering the phones? If so, could you have a word and ask them not to accept any calls for you? I don't have any experience with pay day loan companies but all of our creditors always phoned at home, neither of us ever had a call at work and just one or two on our mobiles.
Have you changed your bank account to ensure no money can be taken out on Friday?
Well done on starting to get your situation sorted and fingers crossed that you don't have too much hassle from these creditors.
Hi there!
Yes we have a receptionist but although I've been there a while I've never actually met her. I think that could be the way to go though, I might bring her some flowers in tomorrow
We both changed banks away from Halifax, unfortunately I've changed to RBS without realising they were owned by Santander grrr.
Thanks for your replies they've been really helpful. I'll definitely stick around the forums, it's encouraging to have other people in the same boat!0 -
Relief comes to mind! I just hope I can afford a sensible payment!! I don't feel bad being in debt (the whole country is) just feel stupid leaving it!!! On and upwards I say!! Now to find posts on how to make money!!
Welcome to the gang
Me thinks you might owe TTFTM a bottle of red.
Glad you are getting sorted on the right track

Quick update. Told the wife tonight! As expected it was taken very badly. Hope we still have a future. She can never trust me again after this. At the minute I don't feel any better!

Hi Grant
Well done you. I imagine that was a very difficult conversation. Remember you have had time to come to terms with it, she hasn't. It will take time. Also, one way or another she will have contributed to the debt, she will hopefully see that in time. Some people find it helpful to refer their partners here so everyone can support.
I know it will feel stormy but you simply couldn't have carried on as you were. Most people say ultimately it beings them closer, I appreciate this may feel like light years away this evening.
Sending virtual hugs

Christ! I missed that small print, and was never told it by phone. May be it is a good idea to cancel tonight really and get the ball rolling with either CCCS or Payplan. I will have a look and get the idebt one cancelled, I suppose it was more of the weight off my mind really and was too eager!! Thanks !!!!!!

It's bound to come as a huge shock but what is better, honesty or deception? Only she can say if she will ever trust you again, it may take a while but I hope this can be resolved and you can work on this together as a team.LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

I will consider your request and bring a pipette to measure the wine and a 5 place semi micro analytical balance to weigh the chocolate :rotfl:LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Just had a MLBM (Mini Light Bulb Moment).
I set up my DMP but did not include anything in my outgoings budget for the new baby due at the end of January.
Would it be best to amend my DMP now, to take into account things like nappies, food, etc, or wait until February and then inform the CCCS and amend the DMP then?
It depends if you need to buy things now or if you don't need anything until February. I think I would be tempted to reduced the DMP a little now so you can look out for bargains or stock up on special offers nowLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin
