Growurown - I still kinda like Ostrich. It's a warning not to be one! Yay for Aldi. Don't know if you saw my breakdown on my Diary, but we did a price comparison from our Aldi shop on MySupermarket, based on the equivalent shop in Sainsbury's, where we would normally shop, and picking the brands we would normally use, and we saved £41.31 at Aldi on 1 week's groceries!

Had my head buried in the sand for an awfully long time. :D

I'm liking the sound of Aldi even more now. Our nearest Asda is 12 miles away so we usually go once a month after pay day to stock up. However fresh stuff has to be bought weekly and Waitrose is the only supermarket around here. There is also talk of a Morrisons coming to town as well but not for a couple of years.

I can't remember who said congrats and that they were looking on my diary thread but thanks. I might seem a bit defensive or like I'm not listening but I do assure you all I'm taking on all comments I just think I'm not making myself very clear when I post. :(

No worries ikkle87 just keep posting and we will get there eventually:D

    I hope so.

Aldi is amazing by the way. Their own brand lemonade is the nicest lemonade I've ever drunk, 4 pints of milk is a quid, some of their cereals are as nice if not nicer than their branded comparison but cheaper! They have great sandwich/deli meats too.

Just been looking at grand benders diary and the shopping comparison. Quite an eye opener! I have heard lots of good things about Aldi and it will be on my way home from work which is great. The small local shop near where I work charge over a quid for two pints of milk:eek: We do have a Tesco Metro but there isn't any parking and it is a pain to carry lots of shopping to the nearest car park which btw also costs you money.

Actually, I didn't post the Ocado or Waitrose results in the second one, which was our full brand match at Sainsbury's vs Aldi. Here's the full thing, so if you can find anything other than Waitrose, you probably should!

    Aldi 46.69
    Asda 73.27 (26.58)
    Tesco 85.65 (35.9 diff)
    Ocado 94.10 (47.41 diff)
    Waitrose 92.12 (45.43 diff)
    Sainsbury's 88.00 (41.31 diff)

Let's hope they don't take too long to open your Aldi! Waitrose is almost double what I paid in Aldi!

    HTH

ETA: Our 4 pts milk at Aldi was 85p!

I have searched all over the Barclaycard online site for a mailing address to send my Token payment and letter re the DMP but it very frustratingly is not very apparent, if there at all!

Does anyone have a mailing address? This is a Barclaycard that was transferred over from Egg.

    TIA

Hahaha... Perhaps that's why they're trying to make it so hard to write and tell them I'm on a DMP... They've inherited so many of us from Egg that they're fed up with it all! :rotfl:

I think I'll try the customer Service address that Ikkle posted, since the other one has a Dept reference on it that might be for some other obscure reason and my letter could get 'lost'.

Now... I wonder what Dept PP stands for?
    Probably Painful
