I will report back.
Didn't make it to Lidl, did an Aldi run which is still a constant challenge with the basket issue at the checkout.
A cyber pal on the paddlers thread recommended the salad cheese, Aldis version of feta. Looking forward to trying it.

We are planning an Aldi and Lidl combined trip this afternoon but actually found out on Friday that a few things we buy in Lidl are actually cheaper in Morrisons, which shocked me. Only reason I was in Morrisons was to try and get a petrol voucher by stocking up on cheap laundry stuff and loo rolls but I am now developing a buy at Morrison's on the way home from work list
Have just added salad cheese to the Aldi list. Thanks for that one :TLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

It's offical, I can't stand banks and all financial institutions but most of all I HATE M&S
The same Paddler I referred to used to have a moto, banks are places that loan you a brolley when it's fine weather and ask for it back when it rains.

Hey Grand Benders,
Following on from HH's good advice. I would say prepare yourself by maybe getting a concertina file / similar to start filing stuff in from this point onwards - we have a pre-dmp file and then we started a new file when we started the dmp. It's worked well in keeping us in touch with everything. Also, some creditors will stop sending you monthly statements, those that do this, I ring every month or so for a balance which I check against the CCCS system - this is to make sure they're not up to anything behind our backs!
I also (a bit obsessive) for the first few months, marked on a spreadsheet, when I'd sent a letter, to which creditor, if I'd had contact back, written or verbal, and the gist of it. It helped keep track for us as we had 19 creditors....!

Promise yourself no more comercial loyalty. Price per unit for everything. Supermarkets often do 'ecomony' veg in bags for xx pence, take a look on the shelves and you often find non economy cheaper!!! They rely on us being lazy. I look at price per ml or 0z or kg on most things now.
Ebay is fab for getting price down on herbs and spice, so much cheaper than supermarkets.

We always keep our own spreadsheet and check every bill against online CCCS figures then update both spreadsheet and CCCS debt figures. Though I have noticed that when we do update debts online, CCCS debt total never seems to change. Maybe that was the problem ben10 was having with incorrect end dates.
SAAC, why have MSE removed your signature link to your CCCS blog?LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Hi TTFTM
Spreadsheets are good! Curious about the CCCS system overall debt figure. When we tweak ours it does alter in one area but not in another, until the following month. Must be a systems thing I guess.
On my sig....hmmm, dunno. I know there's lots of rules about no links in sigs, which is why mine wasn't a full link, but more of a map! I'll see what they say :-)
