Council Tax - £87 - Paid over 12 months
Gas - 23
Electricity - £27 - Gas and Elect tied into a 5 year deal

Life Insurance - £81 This seems high - worth shopping around for cheaper. Ours is 56 but I've recently compared and think I can get it on a like for like basis for 29
Car servicing/spares - £15 I don't think this is enough. We're allowed 30 for the car and 20 for mr wannabe's bike
Road Tax - £10 Is 100 for the year enough
Car insurance - £20
Fuel & Parking - £80
Groceries inc cleaning products and toiletries - £280
Pet costs - £20
Clothing/footwear - £20 We're allowed 20 per person a month
Profession/Union fee - £31
Medicines/prescriptions - £10
Dentist/opticians - £10
Newspapers/Mags - £20
Entertainment - £20 - although we don't actually do anything or go anywhere.
Total expenses = £1530
Total Income = £1994
Difference handed over to CCCS £464
You haven't got a contingency fund. We're allowed 50 a month.
You also haven't got a fund for presents/gifts - home repairs - breakdown insurance.
You should have plenty there for groceries but it'll be a struggle to get used to. Ours is 390 for 4 and I'm finding it a squeeze.
I definitely think you need more scope and play - I'll post again if I think of anything else you're missing!SPC5 #1457 Long hauler #293

Hi BR
I'm no expert on SOA's, as you know I'm new to all this too, so I can't comment on whether the figures are good or bad. But have you compared them to your spending diary? If you are actually spending more than this on anything then you need to either find a way to cut back or change your figures with CCCS. Your income is very similar to ours and yet we only have £147 left for debt payments at the moment.
Have a look at my diary on the diaries folder at the top of the dfw page. I posted a new SOA on there recently based on the figures we have given CCCS although I changed it in places to reflect things like paying my mum what we owe her. (For CCCS purposes I had to add this to our grocery fund). It might give you an idea what sort of figures are acceptable to creditors.
There is no point leaving yourself short. The DMP will never work if you do that! You really ought to have an emergency fund too.0 -
BR, Is this what you set with CCCS? Is there anything you haven't included that you haven't thought of? Could be anythng like cups of coffee etc, working out what you actually spend as opposed to what you worked out with CCCS can differ.DMP mutual support thread No: 2430

Yes, this is copied from the CCCS SOA agreement.
We don't buy coffee when out, in fact we don't buy anything when out. We do commando raids - go into town, get what we want, get out again.
I'm hoping that this month was a weird one due to the festive season hitting just when we started having to be frugal.
I have said to Mr BR that I don't think I could cope getting through to the end of the month, every month, wondering if we're going to make it or not without running out of money.
We've just had to go out and get some bits, so now we're on £19 to last us until the 24th.Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

Here we go again*********** Halifax have started charging interest again 12% PA which means that under our current repayments it would take approx 70years to repay. Just written a strong letter to object as under the Lending Code they should not charge interest which would make the repayment term excessive. If no joy will def complain to the FOS. Why is it always the Halifax we have 7 othere creditors no problems. Yhey are a big pain in the ar--. Rant over.0

Hi all
I still haven't heard from any creditors except Capital One, and they haven't sent me a follow up letter as stated. I haven't done any chasing as of yet to be honest, I expected to have heard from them first.
Trying to be very strict with spending- getting used to withdrawing money and putting into seperate pots as money just seems to disappear otherwise. Aiming to spend as little as we can on food and cook more from scratch- finding time to do this with baby twins is difficult but will also be good losing a few pounds (or so I keep telling myself... trying to stay positive!)0 -

Halifax are continuing to apply interest to ours at a reduced 19%. An waiting for the first statement and going to see how long that adds on to my DMP with them and use as a basis for a complaint.
Have you managed to get them to back down before?SPC5 #1457 Long hauler #293
