One thing to bear in mind is that the part of Africa in which yellow fever is present is very close to Kenya, and it only takes a technical problem with an aircraft or a change of routing due to weather and you may find yourself in a yellow fever endemic area.
If this was to happen on your journey in, you may well find that you get refused entry into kenya.

I cannot deny the logic of your point in regards to a re-routing of aircraft, however the chances of this happening are logically fairly slim, especially considering the number of countries that are not part of the yellow fever risk area that the plane can/will pass over en route to Kenya.

I disagree. I admit that part of this is because I do not believe in the benefits of mass immunisation (but that's for a whole different thread) but also because the last reported case of YF in Kenya was in 1995. I have, until recently, been on immuno-suppressant drugs which meant that I could not have the jab. Don't forget it is a live vaccine which may induce some side effetcs.

Ultimately it is a personal choice. :)

There are two main ways to get malaria tablets in the UK.
Visit your GP/travel clinic and obtain a private prescription. Using your private prescription you can purchase malaria tablets in most high street pharmacies.
Usually you will have to pay for the prescription and you will pay a high price for the tablets.
Alternatively most online pharmacies have a consultation procedure which will allow you to obtain malaria tablets online. This is generally cheaper.
You can compare prices of several online pharmacies here:

The cheapest site for malaria tablets is currently: www.medexpress.co.uk
  • For the yellow fever jab you could try nuffield, but I doubt they'll be cheaper

For Malaria, compare all the drugs, it isn't just malarone that works.

you can get unbranded versions of malarone for £1.75 per tablet below, but check out other medications from the table on the link above
