I have just read the whole of this string. I tried IE7 for a time and truly hated it. It took me ages to find out how to go back to IE6 as I have very little techie skills, but I was much more comfortable with it.

I hated the ''tabs''; I hated that the ''add to favourites'' was different and also the fact that I could not find any way to rename my links without losing them. I also hated that the toolbars were all so different.
Why did they have to change the appearance for the sake of it??

    Welcome back to IE6!!

    Welcome back to IE6!!

Going back to IE6 is easy, just uninstall WIE7 from add/remove programs. They had to add all those features to compete with all the other browsers that have those features. I couldn't live without tabs, opening multiple windows is a hog on resources and far more difficult to navigate. That's why I used Firefox for years. I've found WIE7 to be much more secure than IE6, so just for peace of mind I wouldn't touch IE6 with a bargepole.

    Welcome back to IE6!!

I felt the same and uninstalled it, but have it back again & it honestly just needed a little patience to get used to it. I am happy with it now.
