Have been a long term fan of this thread. Hi AL,
afraid I haven't found the post you're referring to, but in general the best payments are for aluminium cans. That means the very lightweight drinks cans.
Most food grade cans are steel.
I think you separate them out with a magnet - the ones you should collect are not magnetic.
