Sky Multi-room Installation sort of question

hello
we are making our dining room into a 2nd lounge which doesnt currently have a tv aerial. I am thinking of getting SKY as a way round this. I have an old sky+ box and remote from being a customer 2 year ago.
So my question is can I get installation into my new lounge and then somehow connect the satellite to my old sky box in my current lounge without paying extra monthly ie. not for multiroom. I dont want to be able to watch different channels at the same time. I am guessing sky probably wouldnt agree to this? perhaps the engineer might do this if i pay him directly?
any help much appreciated
cheers

You can buy various TV Link kits from places like Maplins, Argos, Amazon etc. You can also buy Wireless Video Senders but the quality of the picture on these can be very hit and miss so do your research.
Sky used to supply and install TV Link kits but I don't know whether they still offer this but it would probably be easy enough for you to yourself assuming the dining room and current lounge are in relatively close proximity. Effectively you connect one end to the Sky Box, another to your TV in the other room and run a cable. A receiver can be setup so you can change channels from the non-box TV.
EDIT: Sky also sell the TV Link kits directly - https://accessories.sky.com/?DCMP=KNC-0 -
hello
thanks for this
i wouldnt be keen on running a cable between the rooms as its a reasonable distance and the cables would look a bit unsightly. Where the dish would go is roughly in the middle between the 2 rooms so i wondered if 2 seperate cables could be run from each room to the satellite dish? or does the 2nd cable need to go from the sky box to the tv?0 -

He should be able to do that, cables can run a length of Shotgun cable to both rooms or leave you extra cable & f connectors & get dh to do it.
Bung him £15 or so to run the second feed to your old box.0
