My mobile contract is up next month and I am looking for a contract with 300min+ mobile or Land not bothered about texts for below £20 , I just want it at that price without all the argy bargy of sending off receipts waiting for the cheques etc simple you would have thought? I dont even want an upgrade phone. I would prefer orange as they allow 0800 no's free where T-Mobile who I am with now charges.Any ideas?

Hi Paulsm
Did you see the THREE website? There are offers for £15 pm and £17.50pm. You also get a new phone. When your contract ends they offer better upgrade plans than most other networks.0 -
I'm in a simliar position - as in that I have about 6 weeks left to the end of my current contract with Orange.
When this lapses, I don't want a new phone, but was hoping to negoatiate a tariff costing around £10-15 with calls and texts included. I currently pay £25 for 100mins and 100 texts.
It looks as though I'll have to wait a few weeks though, as they told me to call back when I have 30 days left to the end of my contract.
Anyone else out there negoatiated a similar kind of deal?0 -
you would think they would jump at the chance to not have to give a new phone away , what is the coverage like for 3? and can I PAC my number over to them?0

this deal with '3'
http://threestore.three.co.uk/offerdetails.aspx?offercode=18VDT5D007
is a for life deal which means it won't go up plus you get a new phone which if you don't need you could sell also you get £100.00 through quidco and £30.00 for you and a friend if someone reccommends you, I will certainly do that (LOL) no problem, the £30.00 can be spent on anything as credited to your account until used so could be used for texts, I've been with '3' for almost three years and have had no problems my reception is great I live in North Wales where other companies struggle to get a signaL but '3' works fine, and yes you can take your number to them as long it is not already a '3' number and from a different service provider,a please & thank you is all it takes :wave:0 -

I'm with O2 at Carphone Warehouse and have just got a deal of £7.50pcm for 250mins x network and 100 texts. I do get a cheque back, but don't have to send in any receipts, and I only get one cheque, at the beginning of my contract.
I called up and asked for my PAC number so I can transfer my number - they offered me £5 off my current tariff, I said no.
Someone else called me and gave me a DRN (disconnection) number, don't know why I needed this, but the person on the other end of the phone, offered me the redemption cheques where you have to send receipts, I said no.
Someone called me with my PAC number today and asked why I was leaving, I said I have been offered a better deal with Orange - £18.50 for 250 mins and 100 texts(I hadn't), she then said 'how about £7.50pcm for the same deal'. I said 'I don't want any of that redemption rubbish, where I have to send in receipts', she said 'a cheque for £270 will automatically be generated as soon as you agree to this 12 month contract, which you can either offset against your account straight away, making the cost over 12 months £90 or £7.50 a month, or cash the cheque and pay £30 pcm.'
Whilst I didn't really want to bother with cheques, on this deal I don't have to remember to send in receipts, and I get the money in one go, so it seems like a good deal and will save me more than £300 on my previous deal.
I was not bothered, but I did get a new free phone with this deal too.
I agree with Martin's advice, as long as you get to speak to right person (which can take some time and persistence), it seems that they are so desperate to retain you, they will offer you ludicrous deals. I just wish I did it years ago.
Of course, this is what I have been promised, but none of it has happened yet!0 -
