Maybe Liz Earle doesn't want to sell her products in Boots and wants to keep it more exclusive, I don't know, am sure there will be a reason.

I use a new cloth every morning and then use it again at night, I dry it on the towel rail and then put it in the washing basket until the next whites wash. I'm sure I read it was ok to use them twice, plus I always rinse it in hot water afterwards.

  • I agree about wishing LE was sold in Boots - I'd make a fortune on the points! But such is life. I recommend ordering direct from her site or going to her shop. QVC is such a rip off, and only good for the refund policy, though I'm pretty sure LE would refund something if it didn't work for you, they seem to be very good. Another bonus about ordering from her site is they alays chuck in a sample size of something as a freebie, and if you're close enough to the shop to go on a regular basis they're doing a loyalty card now. She also does offers where when you buy cleanse, tone and moisturise steps you get something free, it's a face scrub at the minute which I love.

I agree with the cloths, they dry out naturally then go in a bag in my washing basket until I do towels/sheets. I use a fresh one each time now because I've so many, but they're fine to use a couple of times because you rinse them in hot water after use which gets rid of the grime on it.

I cannot reccommend her things enough, I used to have such rubbish skin and LE products really have helped.

I use one am and pm and let it dry overnight then place in laundry bag. Then I bang them in the wash on a 60c wash. I do two white washes per week, so have about five on the go.

I tend to get C&P direct from her website and they always throw in a couple of samples. You can specify which sample you would like.

I am wondering whether to try Liz Earle skincare as my skin seems to have become irritated by anything I use at the moment.
However, I recently tried Boots Botanics which made my skin worse (it's supposed to have natural plant extracts) so you will understand why I am a bit worried about trying Liz Earle in case it was the natural extracts which irritated my skin.

One thing I am wondering - if Liz Earle is so good then why do Boots not sell it?
I would have thought it would be a good main outlet and that Boots would jump at the chance to sell it - but they don't even have it in their Beauty Boutique on their website where they have Balance Me, Neals Yard etc.

Also re the muslin cloths - I presume a new/clean one is used each time -
so what do you all do with the used ones (while still wet) until they go in the wash?
And do I therefore have to have 14 cloths if I do a whites wash once a week?
Or do you just wash them by hand every couple of days?
I am imagining all these cloths hanging round the bathroom....

I persoanally wouldnt be thinking that Boots selling anything was reccomendation as to how good a product was.

If you want reccomendations look here : http://uk.lizearle.com/index_2.php?userpage=awards

You dont need a clean muslin every use - I certainly wouldnt use a clean face cloth every time I washed my face. I use a muslin 4/5 days before it hits the laundry. Like all face cloths I rinse out after use and then hang on the rad or towel rail to dry. Certainly dont have a bathroom with more then 2 face cloths hung in it at any one time ( his and mine) so I dont see how you need to find room to hang 14? If Im not doing a white wash when the one in sue needs washing, it stays in the laundry hamper till I am. I often have a selection of bits and bobs sat in the hamper week in week out waiting for a suitable wash load - its no hassle

The thing with Liz Earl cleansers, esp. C&P and the skin tonic is they take eyemake-up and mascara off without making your eyes sting. Haven't found that with many other products except for perhaps Molton Brown face wash (but I didn't like the smell).

The Daily repair is the only cream that I can put on straight after a bath/shower that doesn't sting/tingle on my cheeks. (Am using Clarins for sensitive skin at the moment and it does sting a little)

Changed my cleanse and toner to L'occitane last week and I regret it, Liz Earl definitely agrees with my sensitive skin and eyes.

Delivery for me has always been faster than the speed of light too, and at a reasonable cost. Would recommend.

I didn't mean it like that - just that Boots is a major high street skincare retailer and I am surprised they don't sell it. It would be the first place I would look for any brand of skincare recommmended to me - just because it is on the high street.

I didn't expect to need to hang 14 cloths at once - but if I did use a clean cloth each time then there would be 14 in each weekly wash.
I don't like the idea of putting them in the wash basket with everyone's dirty underwear and socks - so they would probably would accumulate in the bathroom -although of course they could be put in a bag once they are dry.
I have never used a facecloth (I just splash water on my face to rinse), partly because I think they harbour germs and because I dislike wet cloths hanging around the bathroom - so this is a new concept for me!
  • Does anyone have the link to the factory seconds shop on ebay please?

I ran out of the cleanse and polish far too quickly! How long is it 100 ml meant to last?

Well if washing your face and using a cloth is all too new to you and you dont like the idea of using a cloth because "hey harbour germs" then perhaps cleanse and polish is just not for you . Perhaps you are suited to the cream and cotton wool method still?

Just being nosey here, whats the problem with putting the cloths in the laundry bin? They wont "catch" anything:confused:

And personally once again I dont see Boots as being a major outlet for skin care - 99% of the range they sell can be bought in any high street chemist - even the bargain pound shops and seeing as they also sell flea treatments, nappy sacks and electric toothbrushes Id say they were a jack of all trades and master of none
