Tyres? Air? But don't let them catch you!"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0

Metal post. At least then, you can ensure they do not go back to their old ways in the future.Never Knowingly Understood.

invite everyone you can think of for a party, when the cars sat there infron of the garage use it as table and chairs, and use the garage as shelter completely crowd the car and put all your empty bottle on it, sit and lean on it, when they come out to complain say i would of used mine but you blocked me in.0

Strider590 Thank you for your advise and link, and to all as well. Please do know that I have spoken to all who have parked there, when I first moved in I went to the people who were parking there a lot and advised them that I would be using it and asked politely not to park there again to which they said fine but yet carried on. We contacted the police regarding it as someone we didn't know parked there and they advised us that they would call people and ask them to move or would come out and hand them a fine.
This was done when one of the people who kept parking there came out in his size 10's and threatened both me and my partner while holding our baby son, no fine was given just a slapped hand and "don't do it again". They have since parked there again even after we asked them to not do it!
It was on looking up on the Net that we saw about Towing.......
We know legally we can move them as they are on our land but we don't want it to get to that or have the Police out again or have to ask! Which we shouldn't have to ask to use our own garage!
brake fluid on the bonnet is a terrible thing and tends to concentrate the mind.:whistle:0 -
We know legally we can move them as they are on our land
but in your first post you sayshared private land
You'll likely need permission from the other owners before you start clamping and towing and if they're the ones parking there I can hardly see them agreeing to that.
I'd start with a sign on the garage saying access required 24/7 and a plastic cone infront to make it difficult for people to park there.
If they still park there, get the police involved again.0 -
Actually I didn't spot the comment about moving them but to move a vehicle you need to be SIA licenced too unless you're a breakdown service.
Whilst there have been some amusing comments as to how to deter people using some interesting methods, cones really are the best way forward and if you search ebay you'll get a couple for a tenner easily. Drivers hate getting out of the comfort of their car to move cones and few will push cones with their car in case they incur damage (not to mention damaging a cone is technically criminal damage - not that anyone has ever pursued this).
Seriously, revenge tactics aren't a good idea - especially for a garage otherwise you might find someone shoves superglue in the keyhole etc.0 -

Or just ask any students you might know, they usually have one or two knocking around their student accommodation. :rotfl:“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Print some A4 signs off stating that they are obstructing your garage. The next time they park their spray their windscreen (right were driver needs to look out) with loads of water, place the A4 sign on the water and then soak the sign. 20-30min later it dries and is a bu**er to get off but you have committed no offence because you have not used any form of adhesive etc that may damage theiur car. We used to do this in a company car park that the public thought they could use, worked wonders.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
