Lidl had a choice of several types last Saturday for £4.990

Pink or white? single or double? scented or unscented? I
One thing you should always try to remember, irrespective of whatever you buy for the garden, is look and see what they say will be it's hight, spread in ten yrs. So many trees and shrubs are appealing and succumb to "wouldn't that be nice in our garden", then before you know it, those ten years have elapsed and your view is restricted, your foundations are in jeopardy, neighbours etc. So think and choose wisely. Hi have ordered one from spaldings and I know what you mean but the garden has ample room its 70 foot long by 35 foot wide its just that up until 1 year ago I had a nice view of a brick wall then they expanded and now I am over looked by windows, so just needed something with height and also ordered a blue princess tree, so I can have a high canopy look, well in 10-15 years anyway, am re-designing the back garden this year, making it more disabled friendly for myself, my sons mates are going to all the hard work all I have to do is design it, I'm even getting a summer house for the bottom of the garden but that wont come until september when its in the sale and I can get loads knocked off it, thanks for all your help at spaldings you get a free phone with the order. and an extra free gift for orders over £10

My local woolies had cherry blossom trees and others last night for £9.99, there were also fruit trees and birch I think. Some of the trees had a free birch tree along with it.

thanks I never thought of woolies, but I've ordered off spaldings now at least I can re-claim my money if they dont grow, as with woolies I've had lots of stuff from them that just dont grow.

Two recommendations.
No 1, if ever you buy a shrub with roots wrapped in polythene from wherever?, just think to yourself "how long have these roots been deprived of water, moisture etc, ?. If they've been in that bag for more than one week, in my opinion they should be plunged in water overnight to "get things going again". Then you have to consider the air conditioning in the store. Maybe it has brought the buds out TOO SOON, so many things wirth taking on board. So always keep the receipt. I bought two small soil less box bushes from Morrisons, I didn't like the condition of them, so I rang the store and ask it be noted and told them I'd be back if the shrubs failed me. Thankfully they are fine. Keep a bulldog clip with receipts/packaging in the shed, just in case.
Now to a cherry tree I'd recommend. PRUNUS AMANAGOWA is it's name. It is a double pink. The tree itself is columner ?, in that it grows tall'ish. I'd say about 12ft and very narrow. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
