    Suggested because mine you dont have to open it to get the batteries in! The batteries are on the front with the keypad - behind the batteries is the keyhole.

    How about a spot of WD40 on the key? Odd that it goes in AOK but doesn't turn (as your sure its the key). That may loosen the mechanism, hopefully.
