Trouble opening electronic safe

Bought the safe in Morrisons a few years ago, its screwed into the wall. Its a Detroit Electonic Security Safe. The batteries are running out and it wont open with the code. I am trying to open it with the keys that came with the safe... but not able to open it, the key presses in but won't turn. I'm 100% sure the keys are…

Suggested because mine you dont have to open it to get the batteries in! The batteries are on the front with the keypad - behind the batteries is the keyhole.

How about a spot of WD40 on the key? Odd that it goes in AOK but doesn't turn (as your sure its the key). That may loosen the mechanism, hopefully.
