Just got off the phone to Virgin Media

Hi
Just got off the phone to Virgin and wanted some opinions on the offers they gave me. Ideally I want just Broadband alone. 10meg with unlimited usage is sufficient for me.
10meg broadband via fibre optic cable is £16 first 3 months then £21 after, 18 month contract, free installation.
10 meg broadband with phoneline is £27.40 per month (18 month contract). Free installation
10 meg broadband and basic tv package and phoneline free for first 3 months then £36.90 (18 month contract). Free installation. Including £142.50 cashback via quidco I believe. This works out to £22.83 per month for 18 months.
What do you guys think? I would like to go with Virgin because I know that there speeds are pretty decent. Plus I would rather not have a phone line and only Virgin can do this.
Anyone got any better deals? I know Sky have a decent deal but Virgin has more reliable speeds.
Thanks

Yes the sky offer for just broadband and phone is £22.25 per month. They say I will get 7mbps to 14.3mbps in my area. Also £70 cashback via quidco which works out to £18.36 per month if it is an 18 month contract.
Not sure what to go for...0 -
Before signing up for anything checkout topcashback and quidco. Usually £60 or more for a VM signup.0

£142.50 via quidco for virgin! I think Virgins tv, phone and broadband deal I quoted in my first post above gives me the most value for money.0 -
VM's fibre optic is only up to the Mux/DA which can be 1/4 to 1/2 a mile away, from there it's boosted on via copper to the various street cabinets & onto the home, the broadband comes over the same cable as the TV service, the COAX, & not the phone which you cannot have any broadband on due to how the VM phone system works.0

Check the details on the cashback sites as they often mention "bundle" with VM so I'm not sure if a BB only qualifies.
I got ~ £125 for BB + phone signup and binned the phone after a year in favour of Vonage as VM's phone pricing really sucks. They even charge £2 for callerid which I regard as essential so I can just ignore cold callers.0 -
Can someone please clarify for me; If I go with 10 meg broadband without phone line or tv. Will I qualify for the £142.50 quidco?
Thanks0 -
The current offer looks clear enough to me..

Expires in 5 days
30Mb broadband for just £5 for first 3 months. Get £142.50 cashback when you buy individual or bundle cable product (TV, Phone, Broadband) (more details)
Others have been less clear in the past which is why I recommended checking carefully0
