ebay/paypal supsended and refunding items ive already posted!

Hi,

Yesterday my paypal account was limited,fair enough as I know this happens a fair bit, but today I woke up to find that my ebay account is suspended, I have 31 cases opened by paypal and when I respond, they close the case and reverse the transaction. I really annoyed/upset as ebay wont tell me whats going on, niether will paypal.

Ive had buyers send me a private email asking if they will still get their item - ive got 20+ parcels to post today but i really dont know if i should send them as i'll loose out because of paypal refunding items when i respond to the case.

The items ive already posted were sent recorded or special delivery and ive added the tracking numbers.

Can someone please advise on what i should do? im inclined not to post the items. thanks x

- i dont understand...the ebay account was opened 31/12/11,most items were on ten day listings...!

I've had the exact same problem, but rather than go through it all on the forum I'll PM you.

Hmm, a new account from the dates then. Have you got any other accounts open or have you ever had any in the past? Also are you selling high end goods and is it a business or private account?

its a private account, i was selling all my old stuff that i didnt want ready to move. Ive had an account with my ex before but i closed this and moved since then but the account was closed and there was no issues with that account or the paypal one linked to it that i know of. I did sell a brand new mobile phone for just shy of £300 and then a really old one for about £25.

I got told on sunday that my account was restricted and i couldnt list anything else - citing log into paypal to find out why
monday my paypal account is limited
today my ebay account is suspended and paypal has over £150 of transactions on hold taking my balance from £576 to £400

Some transactions are allowing me to resolve them,and there are 30+ where they are being reviewed by paypal.

Should I just not send any more items? I dont want to loose out.

This is exactly what happened to me, and those you don't resolve (because you can't) are automatically refunded by paypal.

I think to be safe (but wrecking any chance of a future account) I would email each buyer and explain that ebay have temporarily closed your account and whilst you sort it out with paypal you will refund them in full.

It does sound like there is an issue either with your name or with the new address. You say you used to have an account- and since a joint account is not posisble was that in your name or that fof your ex- if something n his name has occured since you posted you may well have got associated with that. Alternatively your new address is already blacklisted.

the old account was in my name but at my ex's address but i did change the password and security questions to make sure he couldnt re-instate it. I do share my internet dongle with a friend,and she uses ebay, could this be a factor? Ive tried to find the email addresses but cant

I understand what Soolin is saying but Paypal cause half of these problems when they pull a stunt like this. My account with paypal was suspended for 'high risk' - no claims, and exactly the same happened. Fortunately I have more than one address. They are worse than useless. What you will find though is that out of the 50 transactions ebay, will have removed themselves as far away as possible, and refunded your account for fees. Mine ran into hundreds and has been refunded to me after a lot of hassle.

Could be anything ..lincluding the other person in household using ebay. Since I.P and house addresses are logged.

Best bet is call paypal and ask them how you are supposed too resolve it. They will either tell you or hint at what has went wrong.

They will have been refunded to your account, and the 'clowns' at ebay HQ will suggest that you are refunded to your paypal account - which of course can't receive payments. Then they don't have an answer on their script - and panic, suggesting you phone paypal. Insist on a refund to your bank and if not ask to speak to Mr Head Muppet.
