Yes they are available. They've been around for over 15 yrs. Stoves make a nice one but I can't find a link to one at the moment but they definately are available. You have been reading.....another magnificent post by garethgas :beer:0

Hi
Yes gas fan ovens are available but WHY?
Surely if you want a gas oven then part of the reason is its zonal heat.
If you want an oven that comes to temperature quickly and gives you a relatively even heat then don't buy a gas oven, get yourself a reasonable quality multifunction electric oven.
Good luck

Cheers guys - "the customer is always right" - that's what she's asked for so that's what I'm tring to find.
She currently has an electric oven and hates it - cooks unevenly apparently, doesn't want the expense of running a new 6mm cable for a new double oven, so is sticking to gas... ho hum.
Will try harder to find one now I know they DO exist:D

Hi Ruski
If the customer was 'always right' then we would only sell gas hobs and ovens with our kitchens but as virtually every kitchen we do 95% of customers have induction hobs and 100% have multifunction electric ovens this means that they really are just seeking good advice.
Your customer's statement of that she has an electric oven at the moment and hates it, so now she wants a gas oven is kind of like saying 'All diesel cars are useless' when someone's only experience of a diesel engined vehicle is an old worn out white van.
I am sure your customer would benefit from 'best advice' and ignore the fuel type, its completely irrelevant, if she wants an oven that heats up quickly, gives an even temperature, is economical, gives an accurate temperature, easy to operate, easy to keep clean and generally cooks better then back to my previous post a decent multifunction oven from manufacturers like Bosch, Neff, Siemens, AEG, Miele etc. will do a far better job for her than any current gas oven.
Sorry if this sounds a bit heavy handed but gas oven technology stopped dead in excess of 20 years ago so really now anyone that purchases a gas oven is missing out so much.
good luck

Nope - I've drawn a blank too. Think I found a fan assisted oven, but not a free standing cooker :-(Perfection takes time: don't expect miracles in a day0 -

Wow! Thanks for taking the time to post such a comprehensive answer/opinion - most helpful.
OK then - if I can 'advise' my customer towards a specific make/model - what would you recommend for:
Double oven - fan assisted main, with a top oven/grill.
Programmable.
Must be built under - 600mm available width, 720 height?
Ideally be running off a 13a socket but not essential - she just wanted to avoid associated costs of installing dedicated feed for it.
'Matching' 600mm gas hob.
Any other bells and whistles tha I've probaly not thought of which I'm sure you can persued me she needs!!!!!
Thanks again CK
Russ
p.s. My Cannon gas cooker is superb - so the wife tells mePerfection takes time: don't expect miracles in a day0 -
Ruski-
If you need a built under double Miele is out. It will have to be Bosch/Siemens/Neff or AEG. Neff has circotherm which offers better heat distribution than the others.
I doubt if there is one that can be run off a 13A feed. AFAIK, they are all 16A or over. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I hate to seem like I am pointing out the obvious, but I think you'll find that a fan would blow the gas flame out... that would be the reason you won't find one...
Richard Johns Signature Kitchens
I'll stick with CK's excellent advice - as he seems to know what's available.....
Just so you know RJSK http://www.howdens.com/product-range/appliance-collection/ovens/single-gas/lamona-single-fan-assisted-gas-oven/Perfection takes time: don't expect miracles in a day0 -
