Just to contrast, I recently ordered a blind from an NI manufacturer. Their "free UK delivery" meant *all* of the UK...0

Im british but have lived in NI for many years. It is uniquely different and unless you have lived here people don't get it.0

would you believe it that at this very moment i have had a seller off ebay ask me for another £5 to cover postage costs even though the postage was advertised as "UK postage"!
Think it's Parcel Force as mentions "other courier 48 hr delivery" but I'm trying to sweet talk them to post it any way or refund me my money and ill buy it off the other seller who sends it via royal mail!Regards, Robin.2011 MFW # 34

I have been very tempted to go right ahead and order, on the grounds that surely since NI isn't an offshore island, then the term 'UK mainland delivery' should cover us. I've never had the nerve to try it though, but have wondered if I rang customer services and put on my most polite, but baffled and confused voice, would they see the error of their ways....
I did once - didn't work, because they have a list of postcodes which they class as non-mainland, and this includes BTanything.0 -
This was a post on the NI Forum discussing a possible new Tesco on the Castlereagh Road but its an easy mistake to make I am sure

It would be great if people would think before they post and take note that this is a NI forum. A lot of questions are posted here about various topics (MOT, rates and education spring to mind) which are different from how the rest of the UK do things and need NI specific answers, rather than what you would get on the general motoring, property or family forums.
That said all should be welcome here and it should be kept respectful.0 -
I once started a thread concerning savings at the Northern Bank and someone across the water came on asking why I was posting it on the MSF forum. Weird or what?0

I think was totallybroke was just having a little moan and I find it annoying too. People slagging them off for saying it over sensitive. Everyone has made mistakes it was a little moan in a lighthearted way.0
