how old is the daughter?
what type of things do you like?
i would suggest the Peak District but i am biased ....
and we need to know the age of the daughter so we know if she is interested in soft pplay centres, adventure playgrounds, horse riding, clothes shopping or bars and clubbing..

My daughters are 5 and 2.5, i am thinking softplay, swimming etc
Maybe interesting places to visit (interactive)
Thanks0 -
well - i will still say the Peak District
Chatsworth House Farmyard (Not the house itself) is a wonderful farm park with a gigantic adventrue playground with different bits for different ages, - if you don't visit it now keep it in mind for the summer as it is great for this age group - but you need to bring wellies, change of clothes etc as there are water chutes to play with etc..
Cable cars at matlock bath
Gullivers at Matlock bath
Dovedale - crossing the stepping stones is always good fun at that age...

Lake District or Lancashire,
in Lancaster you have a brand new play area with the largest indoor slide in the UK.
South Lakes Wild Animal Park is kids go free till easter.
some great free days out like MOSI in Manchester - also if you go to MOSI pick up a Mordern History pass and with that you can get some free top trumps
Also found this for lots of kids go free offers for the Lake District - its 10 quid but the money goes to the rescue team. The futures bright the future is Ginger0 -
Cheers, if I decide to go there. Any recommended hotels or guesthouses in easy reach?0

Trentham Monkey Forest is good for a few hours with young kids, i would think quite easy to combine with a trip to the peak district too.0

and the lakes one there are lots but you have a travelodge in Kendal or Barrow or a Premier Inn In Kendal and lots of hotels doing deals via late rooms or groupon. noticed the Abbey House in Barrow was on groupon last weekThe futures bright the future is Ginger0
