Half termers tend not to go long-haul so I doubly recommend my Malaysia suggestion!
Sam, that wasnt a reference to your suggestion, just a general comment.
I think you are right, the European destinations will obviously be more busy.0 -

We can advise on the best restaurants etc as we have been the 'naria for 4 times so far
I think both those prices are good for 2 weeks, as the accommodation is high quality. The Gran is 5*.Just owe Dad £2500 for a new car

New York? Had a quick gander and from Birmingham it looks about £550 each with hotel for 2 weeks via Expedia. I'm sure playing with dates, hotels and booking direct might shave some more off the price.2p off is still 2p off!0

Hi - we had two full weeks half board in Tunisia (Sousse) two years ago for £400 each if thats any good? We used First Choice holidays through their website.
We also took £500 each spends and came home with £150 each still in travellers cheques!!
Have done a small search for you on FC website - link here

Although they only fly on a Sunday so these are from 3 June for 2 weeks

Of all the Greek islands I think Santorini is one of the best - I'd have a search to see if anything is available for there. I believe flights leave on a Tuesday.
Another idea I have is Turkey, there are some very lovely places - have a look at Dalyan, it's one place I've returned to a few times. It's also very much cheaper than Spain/Greece.
Usually there are lots of bargains to be had in May - I've found that the best prices are found when booked about 3 weeks before departure.
Are you a gambler?
Another thing, do you collect Tesco clubcard points? Exchanged for Deals they are worth 4 x value, and both XL and Cosmos have european holidays/flights available.0
