AWOL for yesterday, and busy doing nothing! Arm was absolute agony which was making me feel queasy but managed a few smiles! Gave up chocolate for lent - why did I do a silly thing like that :rotfl:More because I have my HBA1C for diabetes test at the end of March and want to get closer to being in a decent condition to try for another baby, than for anything religious but seemed like a nice two birds one stone!

Hi everyone. Have been a bit awol on the lists as my blood pressure medication was upped a bit, which always turns me into a complete zombie for a few days. Seem to be coming out of it a bit now.

Vintage43 - you can ask for interest to be stopped if you're entering into a DMP, be that self created or through a charity/company. I don't think they're obligated to accept it, but if you've been missing payments they're more likely to as some money is better than you going bankrupt and them getting nothing.

Hope you feel more normal soon, a change of meds is always tiring! Get your feet up!
Thanks for the info - I haven't missed any payments but am likely too over the next few months as I try to work my finances out, is it worth getting in touch prior to that happening??

    Morning all!

Not a great evening yesterday. Home late, DS kicking off about homework and had to sit on him to get it finished so had very little time for anything after that except bed! DH had to go to doctors - another €45 gone and more to go on prescriptions. No prescription charge here - you pay the full cost of the medication - up to maximum of €120 per month!

Half day off work today to facilitate DH going to focus group this evening - talking for easy money!! :D

    My 10 things today:

    1. Check bank and transfer pennies Done :D
    2. Do polls, surveys & cashback site Done :D
    3. One off the "Dreaded" work list :(Got swamped with other stuff
    4. Collect prescriptions from chemist - my usually monthly one plus 2 items for DH - expecting it to be at least €80!! Done :D But €87!!
    5. Empty washer, hang up and another load in Done :D
    6. Take out rubbish - can no-one else smell it???? Done :D Plus bin washed & disinfected!
    7. Make dinner - usually DH's job cos I'm at work Done :D Plus made pot of soup for weekend at same time
    8. Bring DS to soccer practice (15 miles round trip) Done :D
    9. Go for walk whilst son playing soccer Done :D
    10. Ironing - JUST DO IT! :( Forgot I had meeting at 9pm so was out till late

This is going to sound completely daft but you would be better letting some payments go late then contacting them to say what is happening and see if they will arrange something for you - the ones i contacted wouldn't even consider putting an arrangement in place until i had missed payments

You might like to call them before the next payment is due and say you can't meet it to see what they say but chances are they will say no until you are in arrears - such a daft system eh??

That seems like complete madness, you are probably right, it's not until they see they are not getting paid that they'll do anything, I will give them a ring and say i can't meet next months payments and see what they say xxx Thanks:A

  • Hello!
I have been made redundant a ocuple of weeks ago and I got my P45 on the post yesterday. As this probably will be up and down, these are my positive things for today:
    I have:

-Networked online with colleagues from my last job
-Enquired about a job going with a company in my industry
-Done my two-hour yoga session-and feel great for it. I missed yesterday but I am doing it every morning now that I have more time
    - Checked my bank accounts- stashed redundancy money away on ISA and Esaver

    I will:

    - Wash up
    - Put laundry- my man was working late and is preparing to start a new job- he is all away the fairies and things are piling up
    - Mop kitchen floor- long overdue
-Start job application for next week
    -Tidy up garden a bit
    - Contact Uni lecturer who approached me to do some visiting lecturing for them before Christmas but then nothing happened
    - Make appointment with Career coach- they owe me that last session , after the redundancy.
    - Read up notes form yesterday's course on networking
    - Approach big Head Honcho and ask for a chat? (ie, put in practice networking course)
    - Put away P45 and redundancy letter- in a safe place
    - Read up notes from Interview course
    - Put lose change away on the 'loose change' jar

If I manage to do hals of those, I will be happy...

    Ax

My appointment went REALLY well yesterday but it came with a bitter sweet pill at the end.
The good bit was that I cried from start to finish which was a wonderful release of emotions. Now the not so good bit, I am going to receive counselling but there is a 4 month waiting list

After the session I was shattered for the rest of the day but I still managed 4 smilies :D:D:D:D, I'm well pleased with that

So today and this weekend I have to hit the jackpot as it is a triple rollover :rotfl:

    2. Compile medical file
    3. Post important letter
    4. Find dongle
    5. E-mail L,J and D
    6. Photograph more ebay
    7. List more ebay
    8. Send Tesco vouchers back
    9. Update Geocaching.com
    10. Update Filofax
    11. Wrap nephew's birthday present and write card
    12. Day 7 of my blog Done
    13. Exercise bike or swim or even go for a walk!
    14. Dust!
    15. Rank in order bills that need paying and pay them! (it's pay day today  ) Done
