Aw vintage, i have been thinking about you today and wondered about when the meeting was! Do you get full sick pay? If not i would suggest you contact your local social security branch as you should be able to get some help from them even just for the couple of weeks you are off work.

Also contact Housing Benefit and ask them for a form to apply for help with your mortgage - again even if it is only for the few weeks and rates office for a form from them as well. I was in a similar situation as yourself and didn't know i could apply for any of these things and went through a lot of worry for nothing.

Were they receptive to reducing your hours at all? or did they just say if you can't work full time then you are unfit? If so they may be breaking employment regulations.

Also i would highly recommend joining a union if you can - i have never been a fan of them but wish i had taken someones advice to join one when work started playing funny sods with me.

Vintage, i am more than happy to provide you with some guidance - if you want PM me with some more details of whats going on and your health condition and i will give you any help i can ;)

Try not to worry too much, there are ways and means of sorting things out. Even if the worst comes and you lose your job (as i did) its not the end of the world and actually can turn out better in the long run - i am glad to be away from a non supportive employer now, has eased the strain on me and given me space to look after my health!

One last thing - if you are buying through ebay - r you on a cashback site? if not i can send you a recommendation - it all helps make the pennies go a bit further!

    Huge hugs!!!!

    xxxxxxx
