Hi
Am new to this but is exactly what I need. Currently on maternity leave, and now need to get back into the swing of keeping the house in a decent state! DS is sleeping quite a lot during the day so in theory I should have plenty of time...
So far today I have
partially decluttered & tidied conservatory (need DH's input on some stuff!)
hoovered & dusted conservatory
made doctor's appointment
ordered birthday cake for the weekend
Still to do
washing up
quick tidy of living room
empty tumble dryer
make dinner
but going to have some lunch first - now where did I put that linen napkin?0 -
DD2 off school today, she felt sick all yesterday evening and was a bit warm and still felt sick this morning so I've kept her off. I think it's down to the stink of next doors drugs coming through into the girls room  The smell in the airing cupboard made me feel sick when I tidied it _pale_ I pity their kids (7yrs and 2mths).
I am worried though as DD2's attendance is very lowI don't want to get in trouble with the school
I had a bit of a slow start but DD2 is helping nowshe hoovered the downstairs hall and is half way through the living room. She strangely had great fun helping hoover between the sofas cushions and we found £1.01 which has gone in the holiday money box
Tuesday Study, Snug, family room, conservatory or similar DON'T HAVE ANY OF THESE SO DOING THE LIVING ROOM & HALL

After lunch I'll be pulling the tv unit out and cleaning behind it. Very rare event as it's so heavy. Then it'll be HH paperwork sort out I think.0 -

None of those fancy rooms at Tightfisted Towers.
Cleared Minion's giant heap of 'stuff' that she abandoned right in the middle of the front room floor this morning. Her bag of clothes from staying at KH's for the weekend, boots, trainers, bike jacket, coat, crash helmet, gloves, crash helmet bag, school books - the lot . She made a point of saying yesterday how nice it looked as well.
There is still a small crockery collection by her pit door, I'm waiting for her to come home tonight and then she will be told exactly what to do up there.
Sorted through a couple of drawers upstairs - I'm thinking of replacing the two mismatched chests of drawers when I do the flooring in my room, with one nicer set, probably second hand/antique, and a dressing table with the proper triple mirror - so anything that reduces the quantity of clothes I never wear has to be a good thing.
Already have a potential home for the hideous bedside cabinet and the matching CoD that is currently languishing in the shed, and I'm keeping an eye out for a proper sized chest for the bedlinen. And the person that's going to have them (and hopefully, the armchair that's up there taking up space) says they'll fit my lovely old huge mirror up behind the bed in return (no, not as dodgy as it sounds - it's the one place where you wouldn't be able to see anything, IYSWIM, and it's a waste of a giant mirror to prop it up back to front behind the wardrobe because it can't go anywhere else in the house)

Descaled the kettle too, and now I'm flagging, because I have no tea or coffee . So I'm going to try to stay awake as much as possible, but there's no guarantees.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Afternoon flyers and flutterers!
Not got a lot done this morning as I had to take DD to her swimming lesson and then we had some jobs to do in town (although we made time for a sneaky hot chocolate and tea cake!).
Still - just had a quick whip round so we'll see how I'm doing!

Did both the playroom and DH's study. Not much to do in the study and DH keeps it very clear and playroom was still pretty tidy from the massive post-Christmas clear out we did so quick day today.
Have a rather large ironing mountain though so will need to do a couple of HHI a bit later.
Fly-vibes to you all!

Stressful day for me today as the Sacking of the Cleaner took place this morning. I've got my keys back without any problem so am really quite pleased. Have done my hour of cleaning today and am going to put my feet up with a knitting magazine this afternoon!

Reminds of a friend of mine who went home from work early to find her cleaner in the bath, lying in a haze of bubbles and a glass of wine in her hand.
.
That's terrible but it did make me laugh! Can you imagine the shock for both parties!!
My list is complete so 1 out of 2 isn't bad. I'm even doing a few bits from Monday's list as I got home early.
Dog walked again, washing put in dryer for 10 minutes, dishwasher unloaded, bin emptied, recycling sorted and now I need to get insurance for new puddy cat xx0 -

Ok, so we don't have a room that counts as a 'study/snug/family room/conservatory' so I have been flying around our living room. So far today I have hoovered, dusted and decluttered. I've also done two loads of washing (the last of the baby bits) and have just had lunch.
I'm just going to give the windows a once over this afternoon then put my feet up with some knitting as I've just sorted out my wool stash and have got loads of bits on the go!
