'Buyer collects' is not uncommon. It saves the seller a lot of hassle. If I was selling a chest of drawers, I would stipulate that too.

At the end of the day, if you don't like the deal, walk away.

Got to be honest I think it it is fab. I have just bought a table an chairs for me dining room and even thought it was not that close I went to collect. Couriers can be good but if you are buying long distance esp used would you not want to see the condition before you parted with your cash.

Sorry I don't see the problem and as you say if you don't like the terms walk away.

P.s the table and chairs are amazing and a real bargain can not believe I was so lucky!

  • Exactly so you are onto a winner. Probably too late now if you have already told the seller you wanted to send a relative BUT....

Pay with paypal then just send your courier relative to pose as you. You have the upper hand already as like someone said, you could just state that it was never collected (I'm not saying you should but you could if you wanted to be an idiot buyer)

Just do this and move on with your life fgs.

It doesn't seem you know much about eBay. You can't purchase an item and then 'inspect'... inspections should occur before bids are made. Also, all eBay sellers are required to accept paypal and cannot insist on cash.

    :T

Of course you can inspect if you're collecting. Are you saying you have to pay for it even if it it was wrongly described in the listing?
