Yes the frustration of free listing weekend. I created some items I wanted to lsit this morning but it has taken me ages just to get it to upload.
I have saved some as I am not a great fan of free listings weekends as a seller. Great as a buyer.

try listing as make up gift set BNIB
    keep it really simple
    then edit it tomorrow?

Likewise with pictures - bang your listing up then add them tomorrow;)

Perhaps you could list without photos and put 'photo to follow' in your description? I've done that today as i have run out of time and patience!

I did consider, but I cant add pictures if I leave it until tomorrow. I can only add to listing once listed unless I go straight back into the listing to edit (usually the first hr after listing) which I've tried this eve and I get the same upload issue

I cant, I seem to have a time limit in editing listings so if I leave it until tomorrow I'll have to wait for a relist option in order to add the picture
  • I thought you could edit your listing up to the last 24 hours as long as there were no bids on it?

Lol, and there was me wondering what a goo drun was - sorry, it's been a long day :D

Why can't you edit? What happens? If no-one has bid you really should be able to up to 12 hours as you said yourself. If something is going wrong contact ebay.

Be careful- editing auctions listed on a free listing weekend often results in a charge. They tried to fix the loophole wher epeople could put up blank auctions and then go back at their leisure to edit in the details.

  • Glad I'm not the only one having problems uploading pictures! I've just listed all my auctions anyway, and will edit them tomorrow to add pictures. It's really annoying though :(

Like many others making the most of the free listing weekend to list an unwanted gift on Ebay. It's a sealed mascara/eye shadow set.
Well it just won't let me list, I have tried everything including not posting abroad but I keep getting the same message. The annoying thing is other people have successfully listed identical items under 'health & beauty' - 'make up tools' - 'sets and kits'
This is the message I get - any ideas? I am not selling any of the banned makes...

You cannot submit your listing due to the following problems
    Cher Vendeur,

I had this problem a couple of years ago, except I couldn't even bid on items that were subject to the French eBay rulings, let alone list them - and I mean items that were listed on eBay UK that everyone else could bid on. I spent countlesss hours with eBay trying to get it sorted to no avail. No-one could find out why my UK account had the French restrictions on it, or how to get them taken off.

In the end I had to set up a second eBay account and use that; very annoying because of my feedback count.

I hope that this is just an eBay glitch from an over busy weekend - if not, I'm afraid a second account is the only answer.

Interesting! I wonder if it is because I lived in France for a few years when I first set up my Ebay account - then transferred it to Ebay u.k. when i moved.
