Can anyone help with a bit of consumer advice?
Bought laptop battery off an Amazon Marketplace seller 4 months ago.
It's stopped working (sure these go defunct eventually but not after 4 months!).
Seller ignoring emails.
Amazon not interested, their A-Z MArketplace guarantee only covers items for first 30 days.
I am sure I'm entitled to refund/replacement, but as seller ignoring emails I seem to have hit a dead end.
Help!
Was thinking to order a new one from Amazon direct, then send back faulty one straightaway. Is that naughty? Would they keep the serial numbers of item?
TIA:starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:0 -
The Heinz Weightwatcher meals are also glitching online.0

I wish I could oblige.
Your description of a sore throat growing into the ears is brilliant. I know exactly what you mean. Horrible feeling.
Not feeling on top of the world myself today. Had bit of sore throat last wed and I thought it had gone but woke up this morning and can feel it starting again, nose is blocked and ears feel muffled. Hope I am not going down with anything as going away on friday for the weekend.

SpiralingDown wrote: »quick question re DTD electricals, brothers gf got one a few weeks ago but the SA at CS wrote on the top of the reciept
"If faulty no refund to be given as got DTD for overcharge"
She was told that under no circumstances would she get an exchange or refund if she changed her mind, they said when she asked that she would get an exchange if they were faulty but even then it took them 30 mins to find this out after asking everyone, even the security guard!!
They scored through the proof of purchase part at the bottom of the reciept, is this not needed if she needs to return it because it's faulty?
What I want to find out is this correct or just someone anoyed that she got a DTD
Thanks in advance for the helpFudge_Cake wrote: »
With regards to the refund, as celebrate said, I would call CS and ask for clarification. When I tried to return something yesterday I was told I could only have an exchange but as they didn't sell the product I couldn't do anything. Then today I called CS and was told that if they stock the product, they will be able to give me a refund but he strongly recommended going back to the original store. It seems you often get a different response depending on who you speak to but CS should provide the most definitive answer for your situation
as per FK.....the SA is talking out of her fishtail
DTD is Ts own policy to compensate you for their incompetence in changing SELs.....it does not reflect the law. Getting DTD on a product DOES NOT affect your statutory rights....if the item is faulty you are entitled to a refund... even if you change your mind within the 28 days you can return it for a refund.
The SA should definately not have scribbled through the guarantee part of the reciept....personally if it were me, I would have asked to see the manager and be ready to quote the law to him/her. They really should have basic knowledge of retail law before they are allowed to serve people!!
I got paid £20 to take home a shaver the other week after DTD, and the SA told me the same thing...'you cant bring it back if its faulty after having DTD'...i replied with 'err...I'll bring it back if I change my mind and if its blooming faulty i'll definately be bringing it back...you dont make the law love, and its my statutory right to return for refund if its faulty'....she looked horrified, then embarrassed...then said 'well you can only swap it, not get your money back'....again i replied with 'not true love...but if you're that important you get to override the law, why are you working in Ts?'.....to which she went red and started to stumble her words...so i left :rotfl:
*****when we start the next thread could we attach the link below to the first page?***** its vital info that every customer should know...especially those that get trouted in Ts
