I didn't see it but I try not to eat veal or venison or any Hal-al meat. Not always possible when travelling, but I try and avoid them. No offence to anyone who does, i'm just not very comfortable with those meats.0 -

Eggs - Sorry to ask a really silly question, but should eggs be kept in the fridge?
I got a pack of 6 to make the cupcake mix, but I never normally buy them. If I eat eggs I get a terrible headache.
I'm confused because they were not in the fridge in the shop, but they say on keep refridgerated.0 -

Oh I met a lovely 11+er today ...Hi C if you are reading...was lovely to meet you, I didnt find anything today and had to put everything back on the shelves!:rotfl::rotfl:
Popped into my local on way back and only thing I did was to tell some bloke off for dumping stuff next to the scanner .....he only got it from next aisle.
Lovely to meet you tooDidn't find anything exciting there but did manage a good coupon shop £10 off my shopping!!
OH couldn't believe what was in the bag you gave me when I got home lol! He commented that there are not many people as kind as you to pick something up for someone they had never met face to faceSo huge thanks again! Much appreciated. Can't wait to see the boys faces when they get them!

That sounds yum! Never thought of doing that before!! I normally wait until they have just come out the oven and stick chocolate chips in whilst they are still soft. Will have to try the peanut butter later in the week now lol!Chocolate always makes me feel better!0 -
Good evening
Trying to catch up now is going to be useless I feel, I can't read fast enoughAnd I would dearly love to know all of the Elite's goings on in the last couple of days. If anything in particular has happened, please can someone fill me in?
Couple of whoopsies for me today in M's including a family size steak and ale pie which looks very yum for 19p, chorley cakes for 5p, shortcrust pastry for 9p and some Cadbury dessert pots 5p each. Then 3 bags of tree decs and a galaxy present that I found hidden away for 2p each in A's and a bag of peppers for 30p
Managed to return 15 packs of Ricola to Boots after taking zippydodah's success as inspirationand saved £1.80 filling the car up using a Morrisons voucher.
And then I had a disaster in T'sI tried to return a faulty electrical item I had dtd on and was told I could only exchange and they don't stock it so I would have to return to the original store! Which is quite out of my way and today was the 28th day after purchase. I shall phone CS tomorrow and hopefully get a better solution, fingers crossed!

Think you should use eggs at room temp. so leave out of the fridge .Never pay more than you have too0 -
Oh speaking of peanut butter, I made a really nice (well IMO!) pudding the other day, very MSE too.
I can't bear to throw things away and had a french stick that was a little stale on the outside. I cut it open and tore all of the inners out and broke into bitesize pieces (you could just use normal bread). In a pyrex dish I put a heaped tablespoon of peanut butter and about half a tablespoon of butter and melted in the microwave. Then I gradually added in the bread and a heaped tablespoon of sugar turning it over so each piece was covered by atleast a little of the mixture. In a jug I beat one egg with milk and poured over the bread mixture, making sure everything's nice and moist (better to be too wet that too dry) On the top I sprinkled lots of sugar and chopped mixed nuts. Popped into the oven on a moderate heat til it's nice and golden brown on the top. Voila....cheap and simple bread and peanut butter pudding....(Sorry I can't be specific with measurements, I only did it as an experiment and it's quite a difficult one to mess up or I hope it is!)
