How did it taste, any good?!:D
Yes, nom nom, tasted very good thanks and OH is really fussy and ate most of his, so couldn't be that bad:rotfl: Ok i didnt have many friends at school or home so wont post my nicknames not very niceme neither tweets, I had so called friends, but not real friends, I hated school and couldn't wait to leave. I now have very few friends, but the ones I do have are worth their weight in gold :A
I also got called horrible names at school, unfortunately my surname was and still is, prime for bullies. The following was a regular taunt, I'll let you fill in the gaps
'first name', 'surname', the big fat pigstupid thing is, I wasn't actually overweight when I was at school, but spent my entire teenage years believing I was fat, when I was a mere size 10
, would love to be anywhere near that size again
Nice to see you posting fudge2!! How is your dad doing?
Hi Kymie,
Glad to be posting again. Too be honest the last few weeks I have been in a bit of a dark place, with my dad and various problems at work rearing their nasty head again . I have been lurking, but not been able to post for a while.
I spent the whole of friday day and night, curled up on the sofa sleeping and lurking, just didn't feel able to do anything else
I'm glad to hear your MIL is out of hospital and getting better, although I know what you mean about how hectic it will be for you now.
I want to send huge :grouphug:'s to everyone having a tough time at the moment, through poorly family, losing much loved pets and just generally feelling down xxx
My dad is slowly getting better (I hope) to be honest we have to just take each day as it comes. He has been into surgery 2 more times and will be going in again in aprox 5 days. He gets very depressed and anxious about everything and crys a lot and that kind of makes it hard on all of us
I prob should explain a bit better what is actually wrong with him.
He has suffered with severe rhuematoid arthritis for about 20 years (he is only 62 now, but it is unfortunately hereditory in my family). He has had 2 hip replacements and 1 knee. He was awaiting a 2nd knee replacement four years ago, when he suffered a heart attack, and before they had a chance to put in a stent, he contracted MSSA (this was because the hospital did not remove his cannular early enough). This meant that the stent was never fitted and the knee op could not go ahead.
Since this time he has suffered with panic attacks and severe anxiety about pretty much everything.
Then last July he developed a red mark on his leg which rapidly (within 24 hrs) spread. The hospital took an age to diagnose this correctly as pyoderma gangrenosum (my GP made the correct diagnosis straight away) and the delay in treatment meant that his leg became severely ulcerated and there is now very little treatment available to him.
The pyoderma is connected to his Rhuematoid arthritis, so even if this outbreak was cured or god forbid, his leg had to be amputated (there is lots of talk of this) then it wouldn't actually be cured forever. It could reappear at any time and spread to any part of his body.
All of this was bad enough, then he developed a further infection in the ulcers and was admitted to hospital just after christmas for intravenous antibiotics.
He was released for less than 48 hrs before he was taken into A&E by ambulance, as his organs were failing.
Once stabilised, he was then rushed into surgery as during his time in A&E his other leg had fast developed a swelling and spreading redness that was causing sharp pains.
They believed he may have had necretising fascitis (flesh eating virus) and without treatment he would be dead within hours
We were lucky (or so we thought) that this was not to be the case. However 2 days later the doctor advised us that instead he actually had Gram negative rods, which are equally as bad.
They had released a endotoxin into his bloodstream, causing a toxic shock/septecaemia which is what had caused his body to shut down.
They have been treating this with antibiotics and he has had a drain put in his leg. The antibiotics have now stopped and they are monitoring him and taking him into surgery regulary to check on the infection and slowly try to stitch up the open wound as the skin begins to granualise.
So slow progress and one day at a time at the moment. Then once this is hopefully better, they can get back to trying to treat the other leg.
Sorrysuch a long post, just thought it might explain things a little better.
Thank you to all of you that have sent well wishes and asked how my dad has been doing, it really is appreciated, especially when some of you are going through so much at the moment and suffering much more than me. You are all :A and have kept me going through everything.A clinically depressed person with a sleep condition. I'm in my own little world, but it's ok the people like me here
Any offence is not intentional, I'm really quite harmless0 -

I need to do some shopping for the start of the SW Diet tomorrow, but the meeting isn't till Tuesday so I haven't got my books yet.
Does anyone know which flavours of Muller Light yogurt are free, and/or Activia fat free and can I also use Onken fat free?
Is Total fat free greek ok, and I think I can get fat free fromage frais and fat free cottage cheese?
Also are some varieties of the Batchelors microwave rice free?
Any other suggestions, apart from lean meat/chicken/fish and lots of fruit and veg?
If noone is around who knows I'll try and SW topic, but just thought someone might know!
Debs all the regular fruit Muller lights are free including the ones with chocolate sprinkles. the cheesecake and cherry layered ones arent. Dont know about the other brands
Batchelors savoury rice and low fat super noodles are free too
Mugshots (instant pasta in a mug) are great and free except the cheese and tikka ones off the top of my head

I love daffodils too. They smell lovely and look so cheerful. They are £1 a bunch everywhere at the moment so I'll buy some this week.
I have some miniature ones in pots in my garden. The leaves have come through but it's too early for flowers. But my snowdrops are out. I love spring flowers. They make me feel happy.0 -

Hi debs, this is from memory but I know that all Mullers are free bar the Cheescake flavour - 1 syn and the one with a cherry underlay - 2 syns. Onken fat free is free and way better than Muller and 3 big tubs 4 £3 in Mr T at the moment.
Total 0% is cool and Quark is also a nice fat free alternative to soft cheese.
Be careful with the rice. Did you mean Uncle Bens? They range from 1 syn - long grain to Med Veg @ 6.5 syns.
Apart from that my fav fillers are Baked beans, mushy peas etc. Oh and ready made couscous from the chiller, syns start at 4ish so not major.
Hth and good luck I should get around to restarting SW myself sooner or later.0 -

I think most of the muller lights are free if they don't have bit of fruit, fruit puree or crumble in them - even the ones sprinkled with the chocolate are free. They did change the recipe last year but got so many complaints from people doing SW they changed it back so they are free again. I haven't bought the Activia ones but I think the fat free ones are free.
Not sure on the Batchelors rice - but some of the mug shots are free and also the low fat super noodles (can recommend the chilli chicken one)
If you want to know anything specific just PM me and I can look for you0 -

agree, when it's only 10% or less, I'd rather pay the extra pence and have a few days on it!:D"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin
