    Good Mornin' All

It's not T, but just been in S at Torquay. In the 70% sale I picked up a 4 pack of Zhu Zhu hamsters. Reduced to £10.49 from £34.98.

Daughter is thrilled with them and has them running all over the place at the moment.

Hello...nice to see another poster from my neck of the woods!
Are there many 70% Toys at Sainsbury's? I haven't been to the Willows since last week and there was nothing there then
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
  • Hi Purdita,

Not much left in the sale at Torquay S - there were 6 or so packs of the Zhu Zhu hamsters, and a few boys things - that's all.

    Question..

I bought about 70 packets of Dormen's nuts off clipstrips on Wednesday for 1p each, having no problem with SA on a manned till or supervisor who was with him.

When I got the nuts home I realised that they all had a 'use by' date of 14 Dec 2011. I bought the same nuts with a 'use by' date of May 2012 before Xmas so didn't expect the new batch to be out of date.

    What should I do next?

As they were only 1p i'd open a pack and taste a nut. Only a few out and only a recommendation of quality. Not the same as use by. Am 100% that they are good, 10 years in food hygiene, level 4 food hygiene and level 3 HACCP says i might know my stuff:rotfl:

if it was mouldy etc you would know when opening.

cant remember who asked about them but morrys have little silicone teddy shaped moulds for £2 each and icecube ones were £2 each as well

I know DaisyDuck was asking (may have been others) but we don't have any Morrisons over here :( Nor do we have any snow. Where is winter?

Few choices really, take them back and get your pennies back, open them up and get 'em down ya neck (preferred method) wash the salt off (if they are just the salted ones) and leave out for the wild life

    Simplez :)

Spelling of proper Irish names is what has put us off using them...Aoife, caiomhe (my favourite), niamh, aine....living in England we would constantly have to spell/pronounce etc. Mind you with the soft t on my accent people struggle to grasp my meerkats name...Katie should've been so simple...not when it sounds like 'kadie'....considering, annabelle, Emily, Charlotte, Chloe, rebecca....none jump at us though :(

Freya is a beautiful name...and she can always change her surname when she gets married :)

All lovely names. I also like Lily and Pheobe. My sister-in-law is irish and their latest addition, a baby girl, has been called Kievey which i think is a lovely name too.
A clinically depressed person with a sleep condition. I'm in my own little world, but it's ok the people like me here ;)
Any offence is not intentional, I'm really quite harmless :o
