how do people with really long finger nails manage to type fast?
I've decided to regrow mine, they're now a cm long. I've managed to break 3 today  but it's now getting annoying while I type and hit the nail tip on the keys.
Don't want to go back to short nails but can't be bothered with the maintainance and sometimes pain when I forget they're long and hit them off stuff
    :rotfl:

I type for around 12 hrs a day most days, I'm pretty fast typist my nails dont tend to get in the way, but they are natural when I once (never again) had those horrid false nails I was all over the place typing :)

this is for the people who have lost their dogs today. hugs
There is a star in Heaven
and on it is a place,
that's been reserved for you since birth
a place meant for your name.

This star has watched you through the years
but it could not stand alone,
it rested high on angel wings
    awaiting your trip home.

You slipped away, I held you close,
your soul flowed through my heart,
I felt your last breath through my tears
    I felt your pain depart.

Tonight I looked up to the sky
and there for me to view
was one lone star shining bright
    your name was shining too.

You were my angel on this earth,
you're my angel in the sky.
Wait for me, someday you'll see
our names shine side by side.

That's beautiful, feel a bit tearful reading it though :o

What do I do? our dog is old and has been a much loved family pet, but now she has become a total nightmare, she is distroying the house, peeing and pooing everywhere biting at cats, myself and everyone who she goes near, mind you thats only if your trying to take things off her. she has become obssesed with food eating bin bags shopping bags, drags things out your handbag, we are having a living nightmare with her. she has very many medical problems, has survived cancer bowel twists and so on many times. anyway I feel awful but my hubby and i disgussed getting her put down phoned the vet they can do it at 9.30am tomoz problem is we have a 19 year old son and 17 year old daughter who know what she is like but are probably not as bothered because they don't have to clean up after her. she is almost 13 and its a long time for us all, but what do I tell my adult children? Do i tell the truth and tell them whats happening tomoz or do i say she passed away during the night, my friend thinks i should tell them the truth and let them have there last night together. i am only just coping with the idea myself and feel i couldn't cope if the kids got upset too. it has been making my home life miserable and hard work has anyone any suggestions what to say to ds and dd. hubby ids going to take her in morning,
thankyou in advance for any advice. (never posted anything personal on here before)

So sorry you and the family are going through this, I know you will make the right decision in the end. Keep strong. I'm here if you need anything, just ask :(

She has been your family pet for 13 years, you owe it to her to find out why she is behaving like this, there are all sorts of medical problems that can cause this and more importantly all sorts of treatments you can try. You wouldn't give up on one of your children this easily and dont forget A dog is for LIFE and not until you get fed up of it. I think the most important thing you can do as far as your children are concerned is to show that when you take on the responsibility of a pet it should be for life, especially when your dog needs help. Don't just turn away because there is a problem, find a solution. If PTS is your solution to the problem please do not ever have another pet just to give up when a problem arises. If you have made your mind up to get rid of your dog have you considered trying a rehoming centre. Someone may give her a few more years love and care.

my darling little dog has kidney failure heart failure an irregular heart, fluid retention from head to foot, dementia and now behavioural problems. She has had thousands of pound worth of medication and surgery 4 times to save her life. We have been through hell and high water with our wee dog which we have shown love and compassion too over 13 years, our vet has her on medication for her heart kidneys irregular heart beat etc. She also has swollowing difficulties and choking due to the fluid on the back of her throat and lungs. She is biting the other pets biting myself my husband and the children. I believe she is suffering she can't stand being petted because i believe she is in too much discomfort. The has unfortunately thinking constantly and eating everything in sight including things are not for consumption, and this has twice made her suffer a torsion to her stomach. I for one fully understand her medical problems as i have a degree in nursing. My post was for support to deal with these problems and for anyone to advise me how to deal with this for my issues because people who have had to face this before could shed some light or how they have coped with it. We have also 2 cats which my dog is biting at. I have to take responsibility for everyone in our household including our other pets. this is not being discussed for someone like yourself to insult and cause further upset. I am a very caring person who loves animals. I think your reasons for posting this are obviously from some other deep rooted problem and this is maybe something you should have looked into, perhaps anger management. Also i don't think a forum is a place you will "belong" as you very much use an offensive approach.
Regards all the lovely support of messeges on the forum and support from pm's i would like to thank you all very much, for every inch of support and kindness regarding this awful position i have found myself in. The good thing is the above poster is in a minority so i like to believe the majority of people are generally good and have good intentions which helps me sleep at night. Take care you all, tomorrow is going to be a difficult day x
