I have just had the shock of my life, was leaving my mums and as I crossed the road there was a little girl about 2 in pj's & wellies in the middle of the road with a bus coming round the corner, managed to get to her in time. Took her into my mums house to call the police (only people I could think of to call). She couldn't tell us her name but realised a new family had moved in not long ago that had children so I went up to their house, front door was wide open dad hadn't even realised she was gone.

Oh, thank GOODNESS you were there!
    Hope is not a strategy.

A request for that HO email please!

about a million pages and two threads ago I posted about the eReader I got for £17 for DD... saved it for Christmas and it didn't work...

Went to Tesco, they sent me to Sony, ...sent it back for repairs under warranty and...

Sony won't accept the receipt!:mad::mad:

When I bought it, the SA at T, put it through by hand and it only appeared as 'home and wares' because it had no bar code- so it isn't specifically identifiable on the receipt.:mad::mad::eek:

Sony said talk to T and get a real receipt. :(

DH, who is quite up on legal stuff, said I need to complain to T, because the contract of sale is with them, not Sony.

...so 11+, can anyone please point me in the direction of the HO email?:A

I am off to walk around the sports field at the park to compose an email in my head so I get it right!:o

still catching up so apologies if someone else has beat me to it!!

HO email is on the first page of this thread.... have a look at this too before you complain as it should help your case...
    http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Governmentcitizensandrights/Consumerrights/index.htm

it basically states that the onus is on the store within 6 months of purchase to prove that it wasnt faulty when you bought it...after 6 mths its down to you to prove its not wear and tear....

hope this helps...and good luck (i saw these the day they were put out but didnt know they were £17... was really mad i didnt get one, but i think now I'm relieved!) :)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

Just about to post about my visit to Asda too! I went looking for the 2p chocolate finger wreath and white chocolate tree (was posted here yesterday I think) Anyway, got way laid by a friend who said the Christmas tags and wrap were marked down, found them and everything had a SEL of 2p!!

Tags, rolls of wrapping paper, boxes of tree decorations and Baubles...all 2p. My eyes nearly fell out, I had a basket and thought i wouldnt get back intime with a trolly, but everyone else hadnt seemed to notice at all:eek: Infact I got so excited I then forgot to look for any Christmas chocolate stuff!:rotfl:

Got a BIG trolley full, still loads left for others, she scanned almost everything individually:rotfl: total cost £3.50 (so must have got 175 items!!), that will make a fantastic Christmas Fair Stall at school. Parents will still be getting bargains, and school will raise a bit of money too! Everyones happy!

Now Im not sure if this 2p is a managers discretion reduction, may not be in all stores, but wanted to let you all know as everyone else posts what they find.

then popped over th Mr Ts and their Christmas stuff was still 75% off like its been for ages! Phah Mr T !!
