Would that be in the European Cup-Winners' Cup?

it was Kernel , a great night . I watched from the 'childrens ' enclosure on the Grange End and ran onto the pitch to pat Brian Clarke on the back at the end of the game .
I can remember we always bought a quarter (of sweets that is) from an old shop on the corner when we walked down Ninian Park Road .

I was also lucky ( if thats the right word - 57,000 crammed into Ninian Park was tight) enough to see City play Arsenal in the 3rd round of the FA Cup in maybe '67 .
I was young once , now I get older all the time .

How are you supposed to find the grabbits on this thread? There have been dozens of pages just today, and appear to consist solely of women nattering!

You have a problem with woman nattering ?

Do you have a grabbit to contribute ?
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

Love Welsh cakes and the older generation always seemed to make them better than us...I have my Gran's gridle....I love it, whenever I use it takes me back to standing beside as a little girl helping her make Welsh cakes..:)happy memories..:):)

I'm 48 the bakestone I can trace back 120 yrs and I doubt it was new then, I also use my great grans recipe with *shock horror* half lard half butter, when I text my O/H to say I'm making them I have a sea of council groundsmen faces at my window and 4 dozen got in under 5 minutes :D
you can't beat an old gridle ,the new ones don't have the quality at holding the heat , hours upon hours over the years at my Nans apron strings hoping to get a taste of a fresh one .

We used to come up from the Valleys to Cardiff me and mam would go shopping dad and bro go watch CCFC play we'd park in Sophia Gardens and walk up past the castle, always used to get faggots, cheese and welsh cakes in the indoor market

that sounds os familiar , the indoor market is or was superb . CCFC ...I was a season ticket holder at one time , the sway of the crowd on the Grange End ...I watched the Bluebirds beat Real Madrid there ...I once met all the team (when Toshack played for us) on the train coming back from an away game at either Palace or QPR ...way way back in the portals of time .
I'm getting misty eyed and wandering ...not to say waffling - sorry to Snap Ant :rotfl:
John Toshack I'm impressed

    Whats a rissole please ?

A food made from mashed potato and minced meat, rolled into a ball with breadcrumbs on and deep fried.

Available from any chippy in South Wales, but largely unknown elsewhere...:rotfl::rotfl:

Is that the one with the purple label ? When did it drop to 89p ? Will keep an eye out next week. Thanks

Yes it's the one with the purple cap. I don't know how long it has been 89p because I normally buy the semi-skimmed. But I bought the whole milk tonight because they had no semi. The empty space for the semi-skimmed was marked up at £1.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in. :D
