Issyc - I hope you had a Clarksie to go with your cuppa!

More than likely , super pies . You don't see themthat often now ,theres one fish shop on the way down to Ikea that has a window full of the steaming beauties .

There are two Clarks shops in Cardiff. They sell them in quite a few chippies in Cardiff including Chip Alley, there's a chippy in Llanhraran that sells them and also one in Caerphilly. Remove the lid, eat, then dip your chips in the filling!

Am i the only one with a hopeless husband when it comes to getting a deal.I just sent him to boots to buy 6 shots and 6 vitimins @79p and some batteries @£4.07 i told him it should come to around the £2 mark. This boots doesent have any ss tills and i didnt want to buy anything else so he had strict instructions that if they wanted to charge any more or there was a problem to just leave them and walk away easy you might think .No not for my husband he just phoned me to say he has bought them all for £7 .74 the sa put them through and said that will be £1.97 my husband then handed over £10 to which she said oh no that cant be right she put them all through again and of course it came to the same amount again. She then called the manager over who decided to put some of the items through and then said that will be £7.74 to which my husband paid and walked out hes answer to me is what could i do she had my £10 note [ ask for it back i think].They will be going back tomorrow and in future stick to getting the deals myself [in fact i think he was overcharged wont know untill he gets in tonight and i can see the reciept.Sorry for the rant
Sounds exactly like mine... He said the same: first it came up to few pounds and the SA said "that can't be right" and pressed something on the till and came up to over 10... And he couldn't just leave it :( Oh well, I'm not the best in situations like that either. Trouts are scary!

HC... I hope your not sat in M&S watching women buying cheap undies!!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    No harm :D

I can remember when I was a young lad (5 or 6) my Mam & Nan used to take me to the big City (Cardiff) for the proper January sales (this was 1965/66) , C&A , M&S etc used to have lots of hats on offer and I must admit I can still see the visions of , i use the term loosely , ladies scrumming down fighting tooth and nail trying to get their hands on the best hats ...there was certainly no love lost in the melee .
The off for a nice 'victory 'cup of tea at the Hayes Island tea shop .

    Super times .[/QUOTE]

We used to come up from the Valleys to Cardiff me and mam would go shopping dad and bro go watch CCFC play we'd park in Sophia Gardens and walk up past the castle, always used to get faggots, cheese and welsh cakes in the indoor market
