Hi All,
Just a quick post to let you know how I've done today.
Mini Eggs found in one Express 1p BOGOF. They also had Lindor but they scanned at 50p. Tried another Express but nothing there.
Then tried 2 Superstores but neither of them there. I did pick up one lonely bag of Christmas Haribos for 25p and Cadburys Snowballs which are now scanning at 30p.
Then off I went to Sainsburys - got lucky with the Lindors in there which were scanning at 10p:j.
Interestingly SEL said that they were 59p reduced to 10p, so how Tesco can have the same product on the shelf at full price of £2.50 is beyond a joke.
I also found (in Sainsburys) some Tuc Baked Cheddars Cheese Biscuits 200g which were reduced to 33p, sorry can't remember the full price but it was a good reduction. (£1.69 on Ocado) Exp Aug 2012 so I got a few but loads left in my store.
I must say it was refreshing to see SELs on all the clipstrips in Sainsburys - it's no wonder they get discontinued in Tescos when they sit there for ages with no SEL :rotfl:
Apologies if this has been posted before - I'm about 400 posts behind....0 -
Just popped on for a quick "HI" to everyone.
Not sure what day it is to be honest. 2 DDs safely back to uni, along with cases of clean and ironed washing and bags of Old El Paso and jellies and custards.Totally shattered yesterday was no good to anyone. Lurked a bit and only tried couple expresses for the 1p choc didn't realise working extras too.
I was chasing snow bites from Sainsbobs at 10 times the cost.
Ah well did get vits and shots from Boots and so looking forward to 75% off there. And Nikki I have done what you are contemplating, trying to look for signs night before.
I think we all need to peek through Boots windows tonights and hopefully one of us will come up trumps;);)afternoon everyone, has anyone found the eggs in berkshire, middlesex or surrey area ?
None in my area;)
I've been out twice today and got nowt.:(Tried another express still the wrong eggs and the Boots next door had no shot drinks to go on the 3 for 2. That's it one more trip after dinner about whoopsie time, quick peek in Boots window, It's got to be 3rd time lucky;);)
And totally O/T DS has to pass a step exam as part of his Cambridge offer and really wants a tutor.Private schools teach step as part of their teaching but his comp doesnt so I said ok lets go for it. How much £51 an hour!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
Unlike most of the other supporters who are up in arms about Warnock sacking & Hughes appointment, I'm not that bothered, I hate it when we change managers, whoever it is, it means another clear out & a couple of months trying to recognise the team
Heard a rumour about Drogba today, I'd like to see him come to us, also Beckham & Henry on loan were on my wish list
Being a long time QPR supporter I've seen a lot of managers come & go, Ian Holloway will always be a favourite & Paulo Sousa was a lovely man brilliant with kids open day events who got stitched up.
Yes i know what you mean about having a clear out its a shame when that happensPerhaps your fav player may stop now sorry not well up on Qpr names.
Drogba is a good player. Becks may appear he good mates with Sparky. I hope they start climbing up the league now for you and the other person who supports them on here. :j

Thanks Fudge & Nikki - I'm actually seeing the only lady Dr we have so the waiting list is 3 months long. The poor Dr once confided to me that it's a pleasure to sometimes get a patient with a problem above the waist :rotfl:
She knows of me & my clots well
After Drs I will be returning, under cover of darkness via the High Street...........past Boots......
Yay we'll suss out if this sale is on or not:T:T Elite 11+ We're like undercover detectives!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

:rotfl:No no I won't be doing that!! Crutches will suffice if it gets any worse, for now I'll just hobble
It's medical...I've got SLE (Lupus) and in me it affects my joints in much the way same as arthritis. I have good days and bad days, but even my good days I'm in pain As it started when I was so young I've just learnt to live with it. People ask me why I wear heels or why I dance til I can't walk anymore....the answer is because this is the cards I've been given and I'll make damn sure I make the most of it
Actually you reminded me....the other day in Morrisons I had a really bad calf and had heels on so as not to stretch the muscle out. I parked in a disabled bay and when I was getting into my car, 2 idiot blokes that were parked opposite me (in a parent and child bay nonetheless) shouted out 'You're not disabled' and burst out laughing. I'd just come away from my consultant telling me that there's something going really wrong with my blood, that I have to make a life threatening decision about whether or not to take a particular tablet and was in a lot of pain. If I was feeling more ballsy I would have said something but instead I just burst out crying. I wish people would think before they speak, not everyone who's disabled is a 90 year old pensioner in a wheelchair.
You only get it in one ankle ? I've had some "experiences" with disabled bays I'll get too angry if I relate them, saw a car with some brilliant stickers on it about being disabled I have a photo somewhere I'll try & find it. OMG I can understand you were feeling down but that sort of behaviour gets my back up I would have had to have gone over & said something.
Although I must admit when I see one person alone parking in a parent & child I'm tempted to say "Excuse me, you've forgotten your child " :rotfl:0 -

It always pays to hide a few away in an obscure place (if it is something like the lindor) in case of a possible trouting. I am quite lucky in my local, as I know what I am doing on self scan, they dont pay too much attention. But I have been trouted big time in another local store and hiding some away has its rewards later!
I have often thought about doing that, but I wonder if it would look suspicious? I always think the cameras are watching me:o.
I went through the till with two lindt packs this morning and the SA questioned the price, I said they were the last on a clip strip and assumed the sticker baarcode was a discount reduction. Went back to the car, and back to shop, decided to go through the SS, never done it before and my heart was pumping big time, as I had said there were not any more, and I got 10! Very stressful though, I imagined I was being watched in the car park and followed while I was trying to casually remove 10 packets from the clip strip!:o The thought of collecting a stash and then hiding it behind something else is a bit too 'secret agent' for me, although I think i may have innocently found someones smartie stash once:o0 -
hi, all. Apologies for not quoting the post as I had pages to trawl through. In relation to the euro coupons. I think the reason people suggested NI MSE'ers is that some of them may well be close to the Irish border and can pop over to use them.
I used to have loads of these from the old newborn kits. I used to send them to Kimberley Clark and explain that there had been a mistake and I'd got euro vouchers instead of £ vouchers. I asked very politely if they could help with this at all. For a while they would simply send back £ vouchers! I did this for a while using different family members addresses. They stopped eventually but that might be worth a try0 -
Hi again all,
Finished work early so's I could pop to Mr T's.
Just to remind all, C*ln£y H*th off the North Cicular in N10.
Seasonal aisle has loads of Mary Berry Xmas cake still left at £1 each; still lots of beer/spirit gift sets (including Guinness with cuff links, yeah :j). Also still loads of wrappings, xmas cards, etc. HTH
Attempted post sale trouting to report, though.
Empty shelf in seasonal aisle had box with clipstrips of mini-eggs sticking out. I grabs 4 (not a big choccy eater). Goes to SS till, puts through some chicken, the Guinness and the mini-eggs, in no particular order, pays (with debit card) and goes to leave...
...then fun starts.
Incidentally, not sure if others are seeing this but SA on SS tills was watching every single move people were making; marching up and down like a sergeant major, she was. Just wondering if it might be because of the high profile SS tills would have got from the AWT story.
Anyhoo, she couldn't get to me in time to stop me paying, as she was helping an old man weigh his bananas (ooo err missus!), but she stopped me as I was leaving the SS area.
Conversation roughly as follows (sorry, it's a bit long):
Trout: Can I see your receipt, sir?
Me: Sure!
Trout: Didn't you notice the mini-eggs going through at 1p? Didn't you think your shopping total was a bit cheap?
Me: No, I knew some stuff was from the cheap seasonal stuff, but I haven't checked the receipt yet, as you have it.
Trout: I can't let you have the eggs for 1p, they should be much dearer.
Me: Yes you can, I've paid. Transaction complete.
We argue this point back and forth for bit then...
Trout: I need to get a manager.
Me: Please do, I'll tell him the same thing.
Eventually, manager appears.
Her: We can't sell you these for 1p, the price is wrong.
Me: You just did, transaction is complete. Till offers eggs for 1p, I accept offer to treat at 1p a bag, I pay, transaction complete.
Her: We'll give you a refund.
Me: No, we're done, I've paid.
Her: (repeats) we can't sell you these for 1p.
This also gets batted back and forth for a bit until...
Me: Do you want me to explain the Sale of Goods Act to you? Transaction is complete. End of Story.
Her: I know the law. But if you knew the price was going through wrong, it could be seen as stealing.
Me: I'd advise you to stop there unless you want me to also explain what Slander is.
Her: Sorry, that's not what I meant; I wasn't accusing you. You can keep the eggs.
She then turns to trout, tells her to take the eggs off the shelf (sorry, folks) and walks away.
Will be calling HO tonight to complain.
OB
