I have heard from an ex employee from next head office that sale stuff is specifically made for the sale. ie. not really shop stock. so maybe that is the hold up on your orders as surely if it is a clearence sale then they would actually have the stock not have to wait for it

maybe a current employee can cofirm this, but my mate is 100% sure this is how it used to be
