Usually in situations like this there will be a specific reason why the offer of a refund has been rescinded, if the store originally refused the refund there will a reason for this as its easier to refund then argue over refunding, customers then tend to ring customer services and give them a half version of the reason for a refund removing the reason they were originally refused the refund and cs will say a refund is fine then cs contact the store and get the full reason for the refusal of a refund and the offer to refund is rescinded due to the customer misleading cs in the situation, this sort of situation happens quite a lot.

  • How are they intending to refund you if you don't have a card for them to put it back on to? are they posting you a cheque or something?

I don't think we have yet established whether the purchase was 'at a distance' or not.

OP seems to have forgotten us. :D

It's not been established that they have rescinded the refund, all that's clear is the OP hasn't yet received the refund.

OP, what was the exact date they agreed to refund you?
