Usually in situations like this there will be a specific reason why the offer of a refund has been rescinded, if the store originally refused the refund there will a reason for this as its easier to refund then argue over refunding, customers then tend to ring customer services and give them a half version of the reason for a refund removing the reason they were originally refused the refund and cs will say a refund is fine then cs contact the store and get the full reason for the refusal of a refund and the offer to refund is rescinded due to the customer misleading cs in the situation, this sort of situation happens quite a lot.0

How are they intending to refund you if you don't have a card for them to put it back on to? are they posting you a cheque or something?Thinking critically since 1996....0

I don't think we have yet established whether the purchase was 'at a distance' or not.somethingcorporate wrote: »How are they intending to refund you if you don't have a card for them to put it back on to? are they posting you a cheque or something?

It's not been established that they have rescinded the refund, all that's clear is the OP hasn't yet received the refund.Forwandert wrote: »Usually in situations like this there will be a specific reason why the offer of a refund has been rescinded, if the store originally refused the refund there will a reason for this as its easier to refund then argue over refunding, customers then tend to ring customer services and give them a half version of the reason for a refund removing the reason they were originally refused the refund and cs will say a refund is fine then cs contact the store and get the full reason for the refusal of a refund and the offer to refund is rescinded due to the customer misleading cs in the situation, this sort of situation happens quite a lot.
