Do you have written details of their promise to refund you?

If so, then write to the company with a copy of your evidence, explaining what you expect them to do.

If you have nothing in writing...
then start again in your quest for a refund.
  • yes. they sent me an email saying they would refund me a month ago but they will not refund me now. is it trading standards i should contact or i heard something called consumer direct?

Have they said why they will no longer refund you?

If you want to involve some other body, then it's Consumer Direct you want.
But I am pretty sure they will only echo my earlier response.

Have you read MSE's Consumer Rights article?

Did you pay by credit card?
Have a read of MSE's Section 75 refunds article if it was over £100.

If it was under £100, or a debit card, look at MSE's Debit card chargeback article.

Have they said why they won't refund you? or is it a case of they have offered a refund but you haven't yet received it?

    Have you returned the goods?
    Who has the goods now?

    Who are the vendors?
    What are the goods?

Why do you not want to write to them?
    A real letter. Recorded delivery.
Emails are too easy to ignore.

How much money are we talking about?
  • i'm finding it difficult to email consumer direct. does anyone have an email address for them?

But note on that page it says...
    Consumer Direct can:
    • tell you what your rights are
    • give advice about how to complain
Consumer Direct can't make a complaint for you.

Then click on the Start your complaint or query button.
