Is Sky untouchable...?

A rhetorical figure in which incongruous or contradictory terms are combined, as in a deafening silence and a mournful optimist. No point in getting into a discussion on the merits of media bias.
Is oxymoronic too
there is no merit in bias.0 -

Adamski : CSI and desperate housewives are both on terrestrial TV so grow a pair of !!!!!! and tell the girlfriend she'll have to wait a couple of weeks to see it on normal tv!! :rotfl:
As someone said - you have a choice!! Don't be tricked into thinking you HAVE to have Sky - you don't.
Thanks for the advice WW, it was the kick up the !!!!!! I needed. As of yesterday !!!!!! have duly been grown, and Sky has been cancelled, although of course they have the 30 day cancellation period to drain the last drop of blood from you. As you say, the aforementioned series are available on terrestrial AND to rent from the free rental services, so even the gf is still happy (ish). :beer:0 -

I do....:o
I promised the OH that as long as Sky keep offering us the 1/2 price deal, then he can have the football channels (thinking it would last only three months). Otherwise we're switching to Freeview for good. I for one won't miss it at all when it goes.
The trouble is, Sky keep bending to it, and we're on our fourth time round now (he called to cancel again yesterday and they just gave him the three months automatically). So we've been on the 1/2 price full package ever since it was posted on this site (wasn't that last summer lol??)."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0
