Getting a car seat fitted

I know it's a stupid question... but you have checked your car can take an isofix seat?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Dinah, you don't need anyone to fit the base/car seat for you, you can do it yourself. To make sure the car seat/base is suitable for your car, you can check on Maxi-Cosi website.

Isofix fitting is easy, it is basically locating the anchors in your car (usually hidden in the seat, between the back and bottom part) and just clicking it in.
Also, if you join Boots parenting club, you get a discount voucher for the car seats. I can't remember if it was 10% or 20% - I can check when I get home if you want. Depending on the colour you want, they have Pebble seat at just under £115 now (sorry - I don't remember if you know which 'flavour' you are having, might be out of stock, worth checking back!). And the base is £135 in Boots at the moment (look online, under Mother & Baby). Don't forget you also can get cashback going through Quidco & similar, and collect Boots Advantage points. Also, if you are in parenting club, you collect 10 points per £1, so it is like an extra 10% off to spend in Boots after.
(we are also due in June, but want to get ready by Easter, as with twins you never know when they decide it is time to come, so I understand your reasons - we are still hunting the perfect pushchair as well and want to replaster and redecorate the room that will become nursery!)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Wigan council will provide help and advice on child safety seats, they have a variety of seats available to try, I see you're not too far away so it may be worth a call.
Not all seats are suitable for all cars, and it could be an expensive mistake if you dont get it right.0 -
Some Mothercare stores do fit the seats for free!
