Nectar card problems

I've had problems when collecting Nectar card points. Whenever I make an internet purchase I do so via the Nectar website to ensure I get my points. I've noticed that there are always problems when more than 25 points should be awarded for a purchase. Latest purchase was £189 at Austin Reed, which is double points so I should have been credited 378 points. After complaining to Nectar, they say their records show I never clicked through their site &/or cookies are not enabled on my browser. I have the Nectar toolbar & it goes green when I'm supposed to be collecting points. It's just a case of Nectar not honouring what they say they do. £2 purchase = points, £100 purchase = no points. It's a blatant rip-off. I've had a look on internet forums & I'm not the only one who has been ripped off in this manner. Is there anyone here who has had a similar experience?

I have had some 'buys' not registered but they do say that if you click off the site then the tracking link does not complete and also so sites say that if the item is already in you basket before going via a cash-back site then the cash back is not credited.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0

I tried to log into my Nectar Card A/C 2 days ago and couldn't remember my password, so clicked on the link 'fogotten password?' to receive an e-mail with a temporary password. On following the link which has a temporary password inserted (but blanked out so it can't be read) I clicked log-in and just get a message sending me round in circles, saying either my password or card number is incorrectly inserted! I've tried contacting Nectar by online chat, telephone and e-mail and have never before come across an organisation that either refuses to help with log-in problems from their end, or asks for ID-sensitive information by e-mail! At last this morning, I was transferred by phone to a supervisor who now claims there has been a problem at Nectar's end for the past week where, apparently, when they send a customer a 'lost password' e-mail, their own system at Nectar is blocking the process, so the customer can't get in to change their password! They are still refusing to help from their end and are insisting that the customer should delete 'cache and cookies' from their own computer! I flatly refuse to make such adjustments on my computer just to obtain entry to my own account for a loyalty card and have never before encountered an organisation that will not rectify the situation at their end, or expects a customer to send confidential information that could put their ID at risk, by e-mail! I've now demanded assurances from them that, due to their problem, customers' personal information is not at risk on Nectar's website due to the problem.0

I am also having similar problems and despite my sending a list of transactions to them I had a reply basically telling me they had no record of them so tough luck.
I've made some substantial purchases via their website to earn points recently and I'm actually really annoyed with the fact they sent a standard 'tough luck' response. I've replied saying that I'm not happy with their response and wish to make an official complaint about it. Does anyone else know if there is anything else we can do regarding this. If it were a few points I wouldn't fuss but as I said I've made a point of using their site because I had some big purchases and one of them had a double points offer on at the time.
Really not impressed with Nectar.0 -

I guess Nectar are like a cashback site, if they don't get paid the money from the shop you purchased for whatever reason then they can't pass on the reward to you.
As with cashback sites, treat Nectar points as a nice added bonus, don't rely on them as some retailers are slow at paying out or come up saying that your account was linked to another cashback site (even if it is the first time in visiting that website via the link provided by the cashback/nectar website)0
