Using internet TV

I am considering shutting off my cable TV and switching to a Roku box to view shows via websites such as Amazon Prime. I would end up with only an internet bill but I wonder if this is worth it. Does anyone know much about Roku boxes and what type of programming is available with them? This could be a great way to cut costs on a monthly TV bill.

If you decide to go this way, ensure that your internet package is effectively unlimited (or,at least, has a high FUP limit) - watching TV this way eats thru bandwidth at an alarming rate esp if its HD!!!!
EDIT: Rereading your post, you are based in US -limits may not apply ??0 -
