Thank you for the link. I didn't know that store did it.

Does anyone know the best price for a yankee tart, and how do you use it?

I'm a big yankee candle fan, and I think the tarts are one of the best value sizes, especially if you like to change scent often rather than stick with the same one. The tarts last longer than they say on the packaging, and the smell is stronger. (I think the strength of smell might be depended on the size of the pool of wax?) Also, with jars and votives, you have to make sure they burn evenly, as if they burn in a tunnel they won't last as long. I find it a bit of a chore checking that my candle is burning evenly, eg with a medium or large jar you have to have it on for at least a few hours at a time. Tarts you can put on for half an hour at a time if you want.

I haven't tried kringle yet, although I did by a really pretty tart burner from the kringle site. None of the scents appealed enough to make me order any candles at the same time, although I'll probably try them at some point.

I agree the tarts have a much better scent throw, I'm a bit tight with mine, I break them into 3 and burn each twice using Morrisons t-lights which usually burn 4-5 hours each. Then save the used wax for when I've run out and use again till I buy more.

I've had the housewarmers and cannot get an even pool no matter what surface they are placed on, and I don't think the scent is as strong as a tart.

I noticed today In Asda they have small and large Yankee candles in jars. Only two scents, cherry vanilla and clean cotton.

I buy from them all the time and posted last year about the sample sizes. Good range of burners at great prices as well.

I see some posters have mentioned or put links to https://www.yankeedoodle.co.uk but I'm wondering if this is a completely different concern to the one that I've always used to buy my yankee candles from-www.yankee.co.uk? No mention of closing down or Kringle candles there that I can see.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

I have a small yankee jar and wondering how to keep it till the end? It is difficult to light the candle now that it has reached nearly half way (don't have a matchstick) and one side is much higher than the other so I'm thinking I don't want it to waste.

  • I always seem to see burners in charity shops my last one was 50p from a local one.
I usually pay between 80p and £1.10p for my tarts,(Wyevale garden centres, special occasions card shops are where I get mine from)

I use one of those long gas oven lighter thingies to light my jars, sometimes you have to cut some of the wax off if they have not burned equally.

Hope that helps some of the questions asked!
