Just wondered if Tart Burners are "clean" we wont do candles anymore since they made such a mess up walls etc, rather like the glass/metal burners - how long do they last i think it says 5 or 6 burnings. Rather like some of the new flavours that kringle do??
I use PartyLite and you don't ge the black marks on your wall with them. Their melts last about 20 hours.Murphy's No More Pies Club Member No. 680 -

The OP's not saying that, just the particular item they bought. Yankee Candles make candles and tarts. A tart is basically a candle without a wick, it's a lump of wax that you melt to release the scent. I've seen them in the shops and they way they're wrapped up I thought they were just little tealight-y sort of candles at first too, the sticker covers the top so it's not obvious it has no wick, if you don't read the label carefully they look like candles.0 -

Only need to use 1/4 of a tart each time, so works out alot cheaper. They leave no marks anywhere either. I`ve been using them for yrs now. I stock up when i see any offers on xMummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3,

I got Yankee Tarts & T-lights from Clintons cards last week all half price. They had Tarts, T-Lights, Housewarmers and Samplers.
2 boxes of 12 scented t-lights and 4 tarts for £8.30, bargain:j
Don't know if it was nationwide or just my local store, worth a look if you have on near you.

I'm a big yankee candle fan, and I think the tarts are one of the best value sizes, especially if you like to change scent often rather than stick with the same one. The tarts last longer than they say on the packaging, and the smell is stronger. (I think the strength of smell might be depended on the size of the pool of wax?) Also, with jars and votives, you have to make sure they burn evenly, as if they burn in a tunnel they won't last as long. I find it a bit of a chore checking that my candle is burning evenly, eg with a medium or large jar you have to have it on for at least a few hours at a time. Tarts you can put on for half an hour at a time if you want.
I haven't tried kringle yet, although I did by a really pretty tart burner from the kringle site. None of the scents appealed enough to make me order any candles at the same time, although I'll probably try them at some point.Debt at LBM (17/10/08) £5727.61 Debt free date 31/08/090 -
