15p is the standard price Virgin charge for texts to all UK network mobiles.15 p a text is normally Info services like news headlines or chat services.
I don't see how the owner of 0771 number can benefit from receiving numerous texts, only the network can. So it looks like the handset's fault rather than a scam to me.0 -

I agree, now that we know the number, its likely a faulty handset or an intense text conversation!
