I would send off the V5 to get it reclassified. In the meantime continue to use it. Whilst its not legal, you're not likely to get caught and when you get the V5 back, you'd have to tax it from the beginning of January anyway so the VED you buy will cover the period you've been driving to work so the tax man hasn't been cheated out of £10 or whatever a months tax is.0
