My mum had a brush that she bought from the wine/home-brew making shop. Just like a normal bottle brush, but with a longer handle. Many years ago now, but I think she said it was really meant for cleaning demi-jons:)0

perhaps a hairdryer on high would blow the dust out? Not tried it though!
I did this but put a damp towel underneath as didn't want the dust flying all round the room, it worked well, the hair dryer got rid of most of it and the towel caught most of if, wasn't the perfect solution but left it a lot cleaner than beforewhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine
